    Jake grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, near Washington DC. He was taught saxophone and piano from a young age and in high school played in the all-state and all-county big bands and various other award-winning ensembles. Jake returned to the UK in 2004 to study at the Royal Academy of Music. He lives in London and is fortunate enough to play with a number of phenomenal musicians, including the members of his quartet, Banyan - Kit Downes/Rob Barron, Sam Lasserson and James Maddren. They recently released a debut album, 'Looking Up'.
