I was born in London, but grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, near Washington DC. There I was taught saxophone and piano from a young age and, later on, in high school was involved in the all-state and all-county big bands, other jazz ensembles with my peers and various competitions we entered. I returned to the UK in 2000 to study at the University of Leeds and then the Royal Academy of Music. I currently live in London and am playing with and writing for a number of amazing young musicians, including the members of my quartet , Jake Goss's Banyan - Kit Downes/Rob Barron, Sam Lasserson and James Maddren. We recently released our debut album, 'Looking Up'. I've also had the opportunity to perform with Nathan Watts (Stevie Wonder), Jason Marshall (Roy Hargrove) Stan Tracey, Gerard Presencer, Soweto Kinch, Dave Whitford, Don Weller, Spike Wells and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
