Audiojelly was founded in 2004 by songwriters and producers Ricky Simmonds and Stephen Jones. Together, they are the driving force behind major acts such as Lustral, The Space Brothers, Chakra, The Realm, Oxygen, Kaleidoscope and Ascension.
Over the last decade they have released over 50 singles with independent and major labels including Manifesto, Virgin, Zomba, Perfecto, MCA, Ministry Of Sound, 3Beat Breaks, Hooj Choons, East West, Platipus, Ultra, Media, Sony, AM:PM, Cheeky, ZTT, Captivating Sounds, Additive, Xtravaganza, Boss and Warner Brothers. They have had 13 top 40 hits in the UK, and their songs have featured on compilations that have sold in excess of 14 million units worldwide.
The motivation behind building a download store was to have a platform to sell dance music without relying on major record companies, distributors, record shops and the traditional channels of getting music heard by a broad audience. Audiojelly has become a distribution portal to the biggest labels and artists in dance music, as well as the new breed of up and coming digital labels. Alongside selling upfront and exclusive releases from the scene's leading players, Audiojelly's sister company Webjelly power download stores for several labels and brands currently enjoying the extraordinary growth of the digital music revolution.
