An instant sensation the moment it's heard. "Warriors" opens with Angus' ten year old niece Cree Atatise Chisholm quoting from a speech given by Many Horses, a holy man of the Oglala Lakota tribe to his people who were assembled for a Ghost Dancer ritual at Standing Rock Reservation in the late 19th century. The excerpt is as follows: " I will follow the white man's trail. I will make him my friend, but i will not bend my back to his burdens. I will ask him to help me understand his ways, then I will prepare the way for my children, and their children. The Great Spirit has shown me - a day will come when they will outrun the white man in his own shoes." These strong and prophetic words uttered by the small innocent voice of a child with the accompaniment of a soft guitar strumming set the perfect mood for a country rock ballad that is sure to fill the you self producing songwriter/musician's trophy case.
