Was raised on classical and folk, and singing in school/church choir (lots of madrigals and musicals) - but what I listen to the most and am most passionate about: Americana/roots country and real country. No mainstream poptry c*#@ for me, thank you very much. My absolute favorite - Emmylou Harris (she's been providing the soundtrack to my life since 1976). Other favorites: Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Utah Phillips, Kevin Welch, Gram Parsons, Jerry Jeff Walker, James McMurtry, Rodney Crowell, Merle Haggard, the Hanks, the Grateful Dead, Waylon, Willie, Kelly Willis, Karen Collins, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, the Mother Truckers, Steeleye Span (n/c, but I love them), John Hartford, James Hand, JB Beverley & the Wayward Drifters, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Tom Russell, Kenneth Brian . . . and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
