I'm currently rocking in two of the most amazingly brutal bands in the region! I play rhythm guitar for STILLFire and I'm the drummer for Seraphica. I try to keep myself as diverse a musician as possible. I play a wide range of styles and I just try to write from the heart. My music often takes on the characteristics of whatever emotions I am going through in that moment and when something clicks I just let it stick ... no rhyme intended:). I've been playing drums since I was 11 and guitar since I was 12 ... Recently I have actually been playing a lot more bass. Being a versatile musician is very important to me. Music comes in as many varieties as there are people in the world and my goal is to try to relate to any and everyone I can. I never limit myself or box myself to just one style of music. I'm into everything that resonates in my spirit, be it metal, alternative, acoustic, hip hop, jazz, country, classical ... the list goes on. I have respect for technical skill but I believe there's more to being a guitar player than knowing the ins and outs of your technical prowess. I am more influenced by guys like Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk than Eddie Van Halen and Satriani. I express myself through my instrument. I'm not interested in wowing people with how fast I can fingertap and pull off scales. That's why the world has dudes like Yngwie Malmsteen. Glad you like them.........I love the rawness of the beginning guitar folowed by the heaviness Sounds kinda like my favorite boys Alice in Chains...................I'm going to see Candlebox on June 18 in a great little club in Dewey Beach De here where a lot of big name bands play here. I can't wait. I've seen them before and they are one of my favorites......Kevin Martin is a real good front man.
