Since forming in 1998, Akasa has produced 3 highly-acclaimed CD releases and toured extensively in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Winning Best World/Folk Album (CARA USA, 2007), Akasa's latest album, “Views from an Urban Jungle”, combines Brazilian, South African, Caribbean and Motown influences. This follows the release of the celebrated "World Citizen" album in April 2002 and Akasa’s debut self-titled release, another award-winning collection which received Best World/Folk Album and Best World/Folk Song at CARA (USA) 2000.....
