On 05.09.03, AKASH ceased to exist. But still, you may have heard AKASH's, THE ABC's of Kinky Sex! played at your favorite Goth/Fetish Party-Club. And if you were one of the few people who actually realized this was NOT a Lords of Acid song and you wanted to know a little bit more about who wrote that cool and kinky alphabet soup, then you have came to the right place! Here is another outpost within the web where you will get the latest AKASH news regarding posthumous releases + info on "AKASH" related side projects. The pioneering-Dark Ambient/Experimental Electronic band AKASH was founded Valentine's Day, 1998 in Fetishes Boutique (renamed PASSIONAL in 2003) in Philadelphia, PA, USA. AKASH was well known for adeptly fusing eclectic, genre crossing styles into a highly charged form of electro-Organic-Improvised Performance Art & Darkly Drawn - Musical Storytelling. AKASH since its inception, was always a loose and revolving collective of Theatrical, Mythical-Storytellers & Performance Artists/Musicians/Writers with producer-Multi-Instrumentalist, John Cecil Price being the only constant member. AKASH artfully fused eastern spirituality & religious philsophies concerning concepts of reincarnation into an evolving, erotic and humorous commentary upon relationships developed within the span of our own human condition. AKASH often spun epic tales which played out across Mutlitple Physical & Meta-Physical-Dimensions. AKASH existed to convey a positive and unique message of acceptance, love and humor in consideration and reverence toward the unconventional & freedom of expression.
