Pretty much everything goes...heavy metal, blues, rock and roll, jazz...However, within those categories I prefer alternative tunes instead of some plastic-sounding-MTV-piece of crap.
As a musician I have influenced from the following bands/musicians: Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Band of Gypsies, SPIRIT, King Crimson, Korn, the Police, Whitesnake, Al Di Meola, Steve Vai, the Cream, Derek and the Dominoes, Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, the Del Lords, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, David Bowie, Papa Roach, Hanoi Rocks, Hurriganes, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Queen, Paco de Lucia, Frank Zappa, John McLaughlin, Chuck Berry, Jukka Tolonen, Albert Järvinen...and many more...
Movies
Pulp Fiction, The Eternal Sunshine (of a spottless mind), Paris je t'aime, Going to Chicago, Beautiful Mind, Reservoir Dogs, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Spinal Tap, Wild Bunch, American Beauty, Kids, Rosemary's Baby, Bitter Moon, Apocalypse Now, Outsiders, Full Metal Jacket, Cape Fear, Anger Management, Scream (I), Psycho (I,II&III), Godfather (I,II&III), Roxanne, Dancing with the Wolves, Uzak, PRAG...
Television
No time for TV!!! I mainly follow the news, if anything...

About me: I have a 25 years of history in making music, playing with different bands and recording. I've had 2 recording deals with my earlier bands, however now independently producing and recording the stuff of myself, my band Soul Corner, as well as the music by other musicians, at my home studio in Istanbul, Turkey.
I'm Finnish by nationality, but I moved to Istanbul, Turkey, in 2004 to teach at a local university, and also to work as a freelance consultant for an international company. It has been a pretty nice experience to stay here and a lot of nice things have happened - unfortunately also some sad ones, like the divorce process from my wife. But I've met many wonderful people here (not only musicians!) and learned something about the Turkish culture too. Istanbul is a rather chaotic city, but I love it.
As you might guess, my problem is not what to do with all that spare-time, because I don't have much of that spare-time! All days long I'm working and earning some decent income to be able to support the most important thing for me in life: MUSIC! And all nights long I'm playing guitar, recording or listening music...I'd love to quit my other works and just concentrate on music, but life of an independent musician ain't easy without regular earnings...as an extra advantage, consider yourself sleeping 2-3 hours a night for some months! But I wouldn't give up a single thing...I will rock 'till I drop...
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone...Independent of your gender, race, nationality, political orientation or religion. I'm always open to meet new and interesting people. But if you contact me and start bombing me with messages, please try to understand that replying might take some time, because I'm occasionally goddamn busy
However, DON'T BE A BITCH/DICK i.e. DO NOT SEND ME ADDS ABOUT ANY GODDAMN PRODUCTS, AND DO NOT SEND ME ANY POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS PROPAGANDA OR I WILL DROP YOUR ASS FROM MY FRIENDLIST WITHOUT A WARNING. I CAN FIND THE THINGS I NEED ELSEWHERE
