We are a band from Devon in the U.K. Starting out back in 1994 with "Origin of the Sun" Huw and Melodie have remained the mainstays of the band following the darker path of writing songs in a loosely country/folk/rock style.(the name Akibas (a kee ba s) means "autumn leaves "in Japanese)
2003 brought the chance to record at London's legendary Toerag studios producing "Tree of Loving Soul" which featured Taiko legend Kordian Tetkov on the drums and then in 2006 came "Queen of the South". The re-mastered "Tree of Loving Soul" and "Queen of the South" are now available to listen to on Spotify.
