Akis Katsoupakis was borned in Thessaloniki , Greece , October 3 1972.
Into music from the age of 11, he studied piano , clasical harmony , counterpoint , and Electone (Organ-like , with bass pedals) .
He took seminars in Jazz theory , and also took part in ICMC ('97) .
He works as a session piano/keyboard player since 1989 .
Begining in 1997 he starts arranging for recordings .
His work as an arranger includes numerous albums , but also he appears as a string arranger , programmer , and producer .
Two of the albums he has arranged within 2003 became Platinum ( George Dalaras and Eleftheria Arvanitaki ) .
"akicats" is a project he planned for years and is slowly growing .
