Hello. I am Ravyn Karasu. I am also Akito Del Fauno and Remy Vollmond. I am a novelist, though I have no particular age group or genre. It just depends on what I'm in the mood to write at the time. But, here's a little guide:
When I write a mini series or a short story collection, I normally go under the name Remy Vollmond.
When I write something in the juvenile fiction genre, I normally go under the whimsicle name of Akito Del Fauno.
Anything else normally gets put under Ravyn Karasu.
I was born in New Jersey and spent the first 13 years of my life there. Then, my family moved to North Carolina. Now, nearly 13 years later [seems that is my lucky number], I'm preparing to marry and move to yet another state.
I've been writing stories since I was four years old. And I'm not exaggerating. My first book was a picture book I did on lined paper with really wobbly sentences. It was about my dog, Muffin. ^-^ I spent my school years dabbling with picture books and story ideas. By the time I hit the fourth grade, I started trying to write real stories of my own. Many of those stories are lost to Oblivion now, but there are some that I still have on that yellowing notebook paper stapled together. Some of those old childish messes get a makeover and get revamped and another chance at becoming something real.
October of 2008, I finally released my first novel: Akhetaten's Gates. You can order a copy by clicking the link.
The story is about Queen Nefertiti's life. The novel is a historical fiction with a modern tone and some comical happenings.
Nefertiti always believed that she was destined to be a nobody, and living in her sister's shadow. All of that changed when she was pulled from death by a mysterious entity and placed in a "modern" world to prepare for her destiny.
Five years later, Nefertiti is returned to the land of ancient Egypt and comes face to face with a misfit prince named Amenhotep IV. Together, they form a love and bond that endures throughout spiritual adventures, political mishaps, and outrageous acts of blasphemy. Follow this semi-whimsical tale of a love that lasts throughout all hardships and throughout the tests of time.
I'm pleased with the hard work I've put into it. I'm also pleased with Jennifer Schricker, the person responsible for the beautiful cover. You can see her website here and also check out her Deviant Art account.
Here is the front and official cover she did for me:
I'm always busy, even when life is hectic, I am brainstorming or writing something.
MY CURRENT PROJECT:
The Midnight Selkie This is a juvenile fantasy about a boy named Rawly who suffers from Aquaphobia due to an accident on a boat that happened when he was three. Forced to face his fears of the water, he meets a band of stranded selkies, who, without their sealskins, also have become afraid of the water. With the help of eccentric old Admiral Nye Porter, Rawly is determined to conquor his fears and rescue the selkies.

The Taming of Coyote: Sonya always felt that there just wasn't something right about the town, and a strange curse that it seems to endure. It is plagued by above-average coyotes and a dark history. One night, Sonya does the unthinkable and saves a coyote from being killed in the square, only to find herself later lost in the forest that would threaten to destroy her. But, as fate would have it, she meets the Guardian of the Wood himself, Coyote. Through him, Sonya learns much about him, the village of Tyrn, and her own ancestral past.

Vladimir [vol 1]: The Difference Between Naughty & Nice: Vladimir is a series I have been working on for YEARS. It's about a little girl named Hope Dandelion, who has become the object of affections for the mighty Lucifer. However, God sends his most powerful angel, a fallen Seraph by the name of Vladimir, to look after her. Unfortunately, Vladimir has a LOT to learn about this world and the people in it.

Storm Cloud & the Quest For Honor: Tsumani is an akita inu, a breed of Japanese dog. Being bred for the show ring and owning a very honored heritage, he feels entitled to his pride and the admiration of others. His world is shattered when he is brought to America and given as a gift to a regular, everyday family in search of a pet, not a show dog. He is re-named Storm Cloud and forced to face an existence lacking any importance or pride. All that starts to change when the family's little girl, Honor goes missing. Storm Cloud has an epiphany about what it means to be an akita inu, to have true Japanese honor, and to care and sets off on a journey to find the missing child.

There are many titles by other authors that I have enjoyed growing up. Some of which are listed in my Books section on the other side of the profile. Some of my ultimate favorites, besides those I may have already mentioned, were:
These are some AMV's that I have made. Out of the lot, I thought these two were the most befitting of me. Personal Theme Songs are cool. LOL.
Who I'd like to meet:
I think I'd like to meet other authors and artists. Anyone with a talent, I suppose. I also would love to meet anyone interested in meeting me. I enjoy people with similar interests to myself, being it writing, anime/manga, 80's cartoons, costuming, horror, etc.
Of course, I'd love to meet anyone who enjoys my work.

You may figure out that I'm a big fan of Death Note and anything to do with Jack Frost LOL.
This is a cute little video to The Santa Clause 3. It's a Jack Frost tribute. People who know me well, they know I have a passion for anything Jack Frost.
Below is a little video someone made for Pan's Labyrinth aka El Labyrinto del Fauno. I think I spelled it right. If not, I'll correct it later. But, I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Ryuk loves his apples! Clip from Death Note.
SPOILER WARNING! I love this vid. It kinda suggests a Ryuk/Light thing, but I don't care. I like it anyway.
SPOILER WARNING! This is another Death Note AMV. It features the two shinigami: Ryuk and Rem. These are my two favorite characters.
If you're wondering about the mp3 playing, it's called Anderwelt by E Nomine.
Meet the Gummi Bear! This piece has been advertised as Hungarian and/or German. But this vid in particular is the English translation. I think it's just so gosh darn cute! I NEVER get tired of watching it.
