In the uplands of Maui, nestled along the skirt of Haleakala lay the beautiful gardens of Ali'i Kula Lavender. With over 55,000 lavender plants blooming on 10.5 acres AKL is home to 45 different varieties of lavender, olive trees, hydrandrea, protea and much more. Cared for by Agricultural Artist and Horticultural Master Mr. Ali'i Chang.

Lavender is an herb relative to the mint family, and is not native to Maui, yet flourishes year round at the farm. Lavender is widely known for offering comfort relaxation and serenity to the spirit. Lavender has been used as an antiseptic for cuts, insect bites and burns. It is also a great skin moisturizer and hydrator. Its fragrance is known to calm nerves, relieves stress, insomnia, tension and anxiety. As a harmonizer, it promotes personal renewal and rejuvenation.
