    Im Mai 2006 sollte aus den Resten der Band Aeon of Fear ein neues Bandprojekt zum Leben erweckt werden. Nach ein paar kreativen Abenden merkten wir, dass die Chemie überaus fruchtbares an den Tag brachte, das nach Weiterentwicklung verlangte. Die eigentliche Geburtsstunde von AKRASATRUM kann mit Juli 2006 datiert werden. Zu den Gründungsmitgliedern zählten Sebastian (Gitarre), Martin (Gesang), Wolle (Schlagzeug) und Mike (Bass). Anton (Gitarre) stieß im Dezember 2006 zu AKRASATRUM. Durch seinen Einstieg in die Band und durch sein Engagement bekam die Band weiteren Input und es standen uns musikalisch neue Tore offen, AKRASATRUM auf einen höheren Level zu heben. In dieser Besetzung wurde im Mai bis Dezember 2008 das „Klangbunker“ Studio um Michel Jung geordert, um das erste Demo-Album „Thoughts of Destiny“ auf Tonträger zu verewigen. Die Veröffentlichung zog sich jedoch noch bis November 2009 hin. Zwischenzeitlich hat sich Wolle, aufgrund von Problemen mit seinem Handgelenk, schweren Herzens gegen einen gemeinsamen Weg entschieden. Nach kurzer Suche fanden wir ein neuen fähigen Drummer. Gabor zählt jetzt zum festen Bestand des AKRASATRUM-Inventares. Eine Umschreibung unserer Musik fällt nicht leicht, da sich verschiedene Einflüsse des Metal zu einem Gesamtwerk AKRASATRUM zusammenfügen. Unsere Musik dient uns als Ausweg um der täglichen Routine und dem Irrsinn des Lebens zu entfliehen. In May 2006 a new band project was brought to life by the ancient members of the band Aeon of Fear. After a few nights in the rehearsal room we were sure that a new band was born. Among the founding members , Sebastian (guitar), Martin (voc), Wolle (drums) and Mike (bass) the creation of Akrasatrum has begun. Anton (guitar) joined the band in December 2006. With his entry and his involvement he opened new musically doors and raised AKRASATRUM to a higher level. In this cast, the "Klangbunker" studio of Michel Jung was ordered to perpetuate the first demo album "Thoughts of Destiny" from May to December 2008. The release, however, still took until November 2009. Meantime, Wolle decided against a common path because of problems with his wrist. A few times later a new drummer was found. Gabor was appriciated as a new part of the Akrasatrum family. A description of our music is not easy, because various influences of metal are building the tonal quality and impressions of AKRASATRUM. This music is our way to escape from daily routine and the madness of life. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

    Detrimentum sign to Deepsend Records and announce new album release


    Extreme metallers Detrimentum and Massachusetts-based Deepsend Records are proud to announce the forthcoming album INHUMAN disgRACE. The recently inked deal means that the UK metallers have found a solid base at Deepsend, and are already making plans for their recently completed sophomore album.


    Guitarist Paul Wilkinson explains how the deal came about “We sent a copy of the finished album to Deepsend and they seemed blown away by it, describing it as "the kind of quintessential death metal album that Deepsend love".  We're ecstatic that Detrimentum has found a home with Deepsend Records and we're looking forward to the release of INHUMAN disgRACE.”


    He continues: ”When the album is launched, we will be getting on the road with as many shows as we can humanly play.”


    The album, which was recorded with legendary producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir) at Parlour Studio in Kettering, is a crushing blend of dark, technical and epic extreme metal with sweeping melodies and tortured doom passages.


    The album will be available in the stores on the February 2012 but will be available from the label and band on October 31st 2011.
