I’m a Hardcore freestyle rapper from the South Side of Chicago, danced with the Frankfurt Germany based Break dance group The "Floor Masters" in 1983 (which started The Hip Hop culture in Germany), I’ve been Deejaying just as long, now combine that with a background in classical music including the Viola, Violin, Cello, and Contra Bass, and you got me A.K.-S.W.I.F.T.
In 1991 I released True Minds feat. B.K.-SWIFT-Underground Prophet, a techno track, plus lucked out and opened for Alyson Williams-“My love is so raw” in Belgium.
In 1993 I co-produced and rapped with the “Cella Dwellas”-Rugged Discipline, for the Hip-Hop Hurra Rap Gegen rechts “Rap against racism” compilation, at that time I was freestyling on stage with cats like “Gangstarr” and “House of pain” holding my own, trying to come up, Later that year I appeared on another single, this time for a jazz compilation: Jazz Con Bazz feat. Myself, and Will Williams on the song “Evolution of a mindflow”.
1994 is when I got my break in the business with Magic Affair, and the release of the song “Omen III” which stayed No. 1 for on the German, and European charts for 6 weeks, and remained in the charts for a full year, we continued success with three more singles,“Give me all your love which reached No.7 on the German charts, “In the middle of the night” which reached top 30, and “Fire” Top 50 on the German charts, we were honoured with Gold and Platinum in Germany for "Omen III", Gold In Austria for "Omen III" with millions of copies of the single sold world wide, Gold in Germany for " Give me all your love", led to a successful Top 10 album in Europe, we toured Europe sharing stages with artists like 2 unlimited, Salt & Pepa, Culture Beat, Prince Ital Joe featuring Marky Mark, The Weather Girls, Take That, Fun Factory, Snap, and Dr Alban.
Later that year we won the prestigious “Echo Award” (European Grammy) in 1995 for "Dance Single of the year”, that’s when I announced I was going solo.
In 1996 I released a single together with group "C-Block"- Shake Dat Azz, and another with the group “Blaxone”-Good Times, a cover from the group "Chic".
In 1997 I teamed up with Booya-Music, and released on Toni Cottura's first solo project "Da party boom", at this time touring back-to-back with "Backstreet Boys", "N'sync, and “Nana”. Months Later I released my first solo project, Song: "Light In Me" which reached 19 on the German Charts, and also debut in Germany's hit movie "14 tage lebenslanglich" (14 Days to life), and second release In The Game, which reached Top 40, later that year I participated in the "Big Basketball Challenge" with stars like, Dennis Rodman, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, DJ Bobo, and Nana, in which all of the proceeds went to a cancer research fund for children, shortly afterwards I produced a track called "Pick up the speed" for inline skater Dirk Auer for his 08.12.1997 Inline High speed World Record. and simultaneously producing with the Dazz Band/Kool and the gang singer/trumpet player Skip Martin for his solo project.
In 1998 My voice and rap appeared in the hit Playstation game "Bust-A-Groove" (European Version), later that year I Co- Produced and released a single called “The Professional” with Rico Sparx, Alex Belcher, and Greg MCcoy, released under Alex Christiansen’s (U96 Das Boot) Label “Kingsize” at that time I was opening for “Usher”.
In 1999 I released a comeback single with Booya-Music titled "It's On" featuring Mazaya, and Craig Smart, which reached 75 on the German charts, then in the year 2000 released “Do you wanna die”, which to a surprise to everyone didn’t hit the charts.
In 2001 wrote and Co-Produced "You know the names" featuring the BBL All stars, for Germany's S. Oliver's Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) in cooperation with DSF (Television), Sat 1 (Television) , in-motion ag (Film Company), and bookmark records (Label), and is the "Official song" of the German Basketball League, I also had my first performance with the once a year big event “Sounds Of Frankfurt” live on tv, where I performed on the Hr3 big stage at 4 o’clock in the morning, and still had the crowd jumping.
In 2002 I performed a freestyle on stage with “Melle Mell” (Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five) at his record release party, sponsored by Hot Shit Records.
In 2003, together with Paul Schulte produced & released the song "Here we come ", The Official Frankfurt Galaxy Song, on Bellaphon Records, for the European NFL team Frankfurt Galaxy (Who became World Bowl Champions shortly afterwards), featuring rap from 2003’s Frankfurt Galaxy member Calvin Spears, support vocals from Galaxy members Chris Pointer, and rapper Preshuz T, I was also featured on several other songs “Who’s Next” with “L.A.R.G.E.” on their debut album “Larger than life”, “Oh No” on the german rapper “Six” debut album “Rotlicht”, and two songs on Simon Collins (Son of Phil Collins) Sophomore album “Time for truth” which I narrated two songs “One Nation” and “Sunburn”, plus I’ve occasionally done Audio Engineering for Simon Collins, Julian Styles, and other artists from Fusion Music.
In 2004 I participated in The Charity event SOS Asien-Kinderdorf sponsored by Tiger & Dragon Events in Sinsheim, Germany. The event was to raise funds for homeless children in Asia, then participated in a pre-game rap battle for the NFL Europe teams Köln vs. Düsseldorf game, against rapper “Don Q” which I won hands down, performed with “L.A.R.G.E.” and “Afrika Islam” (Ice T, Mr. X and Mr. Y) for the discotheque KUFA birthday party in Saarbruecken, and blew up another show in the discotheque “Nachtsicht” in Heidelberg Germany, I then later went to Referee school to become NCAA qualified in Basketball and Football, and refereed for the U.S. Army’s soldier’s and children’s Youth Sports in Friedberg and Giessen Germany.
In 2005 Me and “DJ Deviate started a DJ team called the „Trak Predatorz“where we both DJ’d and MC, spinning at the disco “Funkadelic“ in Frankfurt germany, spinning 2 nights a month, one called “Ghetto Funk Night“ spinning Old and New School R&B and Hip Hop, and the other one was “Tales of the hood“ playing strictly New School Hip Hop and R&B, later that year I was part of an open-air show in Heidelberg on stage together with the R&B cover band “The Wright Thing” as their hype man/Rapper with a 5000 capacity crowd and they tore the house down, shortly afterwards I performed as hype man for the ITF European DJ Champion “Marc Hype” and Concert Pianist “Jim Dunloop” in the “Funkadelic” combining deejaying with live piano, and me freestyling, and the last show that year was at Frankfurt Germany’s famous “Nacht Der Clubs” (Night of the clubs) at the “Funkadelic”, and rocked the house with opening group “Universal Apocalyptic Figures” out of Kaiserslautern germany.
In 2007 I produced/performed 2 songs “I Growl (Step Back)” featuring “Iz” and “I wanna pussycat” featuring “My Linh” for the German movie “Madonnas” aka “Madonnen”, while touring with Ayman, and the Eastside Famlee, in Dormagen germany.
In 2008 Magic Affair got back together and released a remix of “Omen III” under “Balloon Records” in Austria, and did a tour there to promote it, I also started my commercial acting debut for Lindy Electronics (New cable company), and Avia (Fuel resource), unfortunately I had no spoken parts.
In 2009 we were asked to perform at the RTL Chartshow (Television) in Köln Germany, which we “Magic Affair” reached 24 from the top 100 most successful dance floor hits of all time, and we are currently finishing the new Magic Affair album (Producers: Mike Staab, Rainer Kempf, Bernd Waldstadt) , and I’m simultaneously producing my A.K.-S.W.I.F.T. album titled “Chronicles of a Ghetto Ninja”, I head my own productions “KNIGHTZ INC. producing artists in many styles such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Latino, and House.
