About me:

A Distorted Reality - this is archetypal of all of my writing.
Last.fm - listen to what I listen to. It's cool.
Flickr - I like to take pictures, with varying degrees of success.

Hello.

I vary between shy and socially adept: it keeps things interesting, I like to think. Mood, company, time of day and sobriety all serve to conspire to decide which of these two will be the more evident.

I'm able to make some people believe that I am in fact quite the marshmallow, in spite of my unrelenting cynicism and caustic sarcasm. Whether this is manipulation on my part, or whether it is a will on the part of others to see what they want to see I am unsure.

I'm falling too greatly into the habit of spending ridiculous sums of money on food that I do not enjoy and it eaten far too quickly. I don't know whether to term this waste or not.

I like to think that I can write and photograph: some believe one of the two to be true, others both. Some even have the gall to label me as a 'talentless hack' or accuse me of writing 'convoluted prose': it is these people who I respect for their honesty.

Honesty is my First Principle of morality. Lying robs people of freedom of choice; and yes, I'm big on liberalism and individual freedom. I'll now pigeonhole myself by stating a quick cross-section of my beliefs: liberal, collectivist, pro-choice (or anti-life, whatever), anti-Affirmative Action (or any similar policy: people should be judged on merit, not race).

Quiet and thoughtful > loud and ignorant. In certain company, I'm more than happy to just shut up and collapse in the act of just being there, Stars style.

Who I'd like to meet:

The morally corrupt and the morally corruptible; the emotionally detached; and the damaged.

I want an incisive, inquisitive, insightful, irreverent mind. I want someone for whom philosophical discussion is foreplay. I want someone who sometimes shocks me with their wit and evil sense of humour. I want someone that I can reach out and touch at a whim.

I want someone who won't bore me. Luckily, such people are becoming increasingly numerous.

Aww, thank you! Hooray for hope, that's always a good think to have. We wouldn't mind at all, in fact we think it would be really wonderful if you did. :)

Oh I know that feeling. My weekend was somewhat dull and full of work also. Bad times. But hopefully the sun will come out this week and cheer me up!

Hello, I'm getting back to you on myspace for once, keep the variety alive and all that. I'm going to Stourbridge with my sister tomorrow because she didn't bother waking up today in order to leave the house.
Is there anything we could do Saturday evening?

Listen to my profile song, and if you like it listen to more songs by them :)

They duet with Mt Eerie so they must be good.

    I like the profile updates.

The "bit of extra baggage" under weight made me laugh. A lot.

    Love you, Fatty.

Feeling our bio bit on the page could do with changing to keep it fresh; fancy writing it? Not asking you to work for us or anything, but thought you might enjoy it being a fully fledged music critic these days :)

I'm inclined to believe that you're incorrect. Spell checker tells me it contains an 'a'.

I'm fine. I am not suffering, dear. I suffer when I am with you.
