Alabama Music Box is a venue created BY MUSICIANS, FOR MUSICIANS. It is owned and operated by members of bands who have toured extensively and/or are currently touring. We have a great in-hose sound guy and a great p.a. and lights. If you get booked and want tech-specs, just ask..same with agents interested in booking.
our booking is done primarily through Live! Love! Revolt! Booking, but we will gladly let external promoters bring shows in.

We let certain people exclusively book certain genres, both of them are in the top 2 rows of top friends, please write them if you fall into one of these categories:
*hip-hop, reggae, anything hippie/jam band oriented: Seth from SubjecTmAtTerS
*anything Metal: Wes from Son of A Gun
If you have the email for live! Love! Revolt! it will still work, but please start using the one listed above for AMB shows. we will also still accept myspace messages but strongly discourage it. If there is a local you'd like to play with we encourage you to contact them yourself or make a request through us.
please include the following in your email:
1. a working link to music. myspace(preferred), epk, etc.,..if there is no link you probably will not get a response.
2. the date(s) needed and name of your band in the title.
A few things you should know before trying to book a show:
1. We don't book racist, sexist, homophobic, megalomaniacal, or bands suffering from other intelligence deficiencies.
2. If you are a local and want to play PROMOTE YOUR SHOW! we will provide you with all the materials you need, posters, handbills, etc, as well as press. we will take good care of you at shows so we ask that you help make that possible by helping to promote your show at our venue!
3. If you write and aren't given a prompt response, please don't take it personally. We get a lot of requests for dates and will try our best to answer each of them. If you dont get a response, please take that as a respectful no and try us again in the future
