This event is run in conjunction with the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema as an opportunity for filmmakers to focus on a genre of film that can be intelligent, humorous and completely disgusting all at once. This festival serves as an opportunity to get together with like-minded aficionados of the walking dead and celebrate a genre that has taught us all we need to know about what to do (heaven forbid) in the event of a zombie attack.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The second annual Dismember the Alamo zombie film festival will be held at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema at Lake Creek in Austin, Texas on October 24th-26th, 2008.
The Alamo is also hosting a Zombie Short Film Contest in conjunction with the rest of DtA. Submitters can win cash prizes and Alamo Swag.
