Sounds Like
People have described me as very Eclectic. I am a trained classical and jazz saxophonist who grew up listening to and loving the Pop music of the 60's and70's.
I pull from all genres and find myself one day writing a "pop" tune with lyrics and the next day an instrumental with a jazz flavor.
I love to play the sax and I love to sing a great song with great lyrics from the heart.
It's ALL MUSIC and IT's ALL GOOD!!!
..
Alan Darcy started singing soon after his first breath.
He took up the saxophone and flute a little later and explosive music has been happening ever since. Inspired by many great jazz artists and pop singer/songwriters, his vision and passion for music is reflected in his eclectic and exciting performances, compositions, and recordings.
For more than a decade, Alan has performed in concert on television and radio.
He has also entertained as a solo artist as well as with his band, at hundreds of events around the country and at famous venues from Birdland in N.Y.C. to the historic Tampa Theatre
Now in demand more than ever, Alan has released his 3rd CD,
FEARLESS to rave reviews.
-"Alan Darcy seems to be everywhere these days...getting into the groove with his smooth Jazz/Pop sound. Adept on the saxophone and flute, Darcy also does mean vocal covers of such Jazz/Pop icons as Sting and Billy Joel ! "- The Gazette
"Alan Darcy is a formidable saxophonist not unlike pop-jazz stars David Sanborn and Eric Marienthal"-- Logan Neil, St. Petersburg Times
"Alan Darcy Rocks! No matter my mood, Alan's diverse music hits home. I love it and can't wait for his next album!"-Debbie Happy Cohen, author of "Reach Your Stars!"
