Influences
I have certainly been influenced by more wonderful (and terrible) people, music, literature and thought than I could name here, but here follows a list, in no particular order, of people who continue to amaze and inspire me:
Bruce Springsteen
The Clash
The Pogues
Billy Bragg
Bob Dylan
Mischief Brew
Against Me!
The Riot Folk Collective
Phil Ochs
Tom Petty
Flogging Molly
Andrzej Stepien
Tenacious D
The World/Inferno Friendship Society
Streetlight Manifesto
The Gaslight Anthem
Louis Barabbas and the Black Velvet Band
Defiance, Ohio
Elvis Costello
The Jam
Mark Steel
The Mountain Goats
Suicide Bid
The King Blues
King Prawn
Bertrand Russell
Sonic Boom Six
Woody Guthrie
Joe Hill
And lastly, and most importantly, my incredible backing band, The Dole Queue, without whom I draw ever closer to the iniquities of self-pitying James Bluntery.

Here is a short video featuring myself, Dave Hughes, Tragical History Tour (Derrick Johnston) and Roscoe Vacant as we try very hard to explain to the good folks at whatsurmusic.com exactly why we do what we do.
Apologies for being spammy Al, but just to let you know that myself and

At the moment i'm not even sure if i'll use it! It's just a debate I'm very interested in and I've written a little bit about on my blog. At the moment I'm just collecting artists views and stuff and will probably blog about it again, it's just that i'm writing it for anyone, so i don't really have a deadline. So don't expect me to get anything back to you anytime soon!
hey there mind if I quote you on your thoughts on music piracy?
I'm writing a response to Lily Allen and other members of the 'Featured Artists Coalition', but mostly her as it annoys me that she'd still be rich because of her dad even if she'd never sold a record in her life.
plus I reckon you'd interested, so please get back to me. Steven.
Come on down to 3345 relax and enjoy the music or bring your guitar and join in with the open mike slots All welcome with or without a guitar from 8pm onwards....
hey, sorry this is kind of like spam, but we're trying to move off of myspace and we created a website. it's pretty basic but i think it's cool. spreading the word would be great but don't feel obliged to do so. we'd just like everyone to know.
