Alan Goodrich

Bio:

I am a guitarist and singer-songwriter/solo performer. I am also the lead singer and drummer for the central Massachusetts based band Alan & The Alligators.

My debut solo album features all original songs written by myself with some co-written with friends. I perform many of these songs in my solo shows as well as with The Acoustic Alligators (the acoustic duo presentation of Alan & The Alligators band). My Out On A Limb CD is largely an acoustic outing however I included several electric songs on it as well.

With a regional promotion Out On A Limb has received positive reviews and has so far been added at over 40 radio stations across the eastern United States with one chart position at number 23 in college radio as reported to CMJ.

In addition to my solo and Alligators shows I have also had the pleasure of performing live with Greg Hawkes of The Cars, T Lavitz of The Dixie Dregs, and Bruce Marshall of Toy Caldwell/Marshall Tucker Band fame. I also play drums for Herb Reed and The Platters on East Coast US shows. The Platters had many hits during the late 50's and early 60's with songs such as Only You, and Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.

I believe that my love for music and songwriting is evident in the songs on Out On A Limb.
