Difficult, ... Everything I've ever listened to ranging from my High School classical studies through to the artists I listen to most now, including Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Robert Johnson, The Little River Band, and many others (who I'll list as they come to mind).
If you like what I've written and want to encourage me to keep at it, please feel free to donate through the pay-pal button to the right. I'm not setting an amount, it's up to you and I'm certainly not requiring it for anything, but I'd even be happy with just a dollar. It shows that there is some interest in what I'm doing.
In the mid 80's Alan, played with a few Newcastle Bands.
Quarterdeck
A four piece pub band that did mainly covers of current popular and a smattering of our own material.
Kel-Anne & the Jitterbugs
A 50/50 Club band, playing dance music for clubs against an unusual set of 50-80's music
Alan dropped out of the music scene to pursue a (more lucrative) career in computing, but still kept his hand in.
In 2005, my wife invited me to Coastfest and I met some wonderful folks there. This lead to my getting involved in the following year's Coastfest (doing sound engineering in the bar) as well as with the fantastic folks at Brackets and Jam. I've been helping out with sound for the North monthly event and have started doing a couple of walk-ups, getting my confidence back.
I mainly muck around with a nice little Electric Acoustic Vantage, but I've been known to pull out the Gibson L-6S Deluxe on the odd occasion.
Hope you can make it to my gig at Lizotte’s on Wednesday 22nd April. I’ll be there with my band. Bookings are essential on 49682017. If you haven’t seen my band yet… here’s your chance. They really are exceptional musicians…. guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, slide and much more.
Hey Alan, Thanks heaps for last night, real pleasure to meet you and have a chat bout guitars too. Will have a look thru your pics for that Gibson now. Thanks very much Dave
Thanks Alan! We really had a GREAT time. It was nice to be able to try out some of our new stuff and, likewise, it was great catching up with you :) Catch you again soon! Kerrie
We are strangers again When will that fight ever end Lost the sight of your face It Is no where near my place Can not see any image that once was It is lost to me once more We are now strangers again When will the fight ever end. Let the others have their fun They are the ones who will be undone I have lost the image of your face What a life that is now in disgrace. We are strangers to each other We are no longer each others lover. We now are strangers once again. Time does not matter what people say The heart of mine sees it all There is always time for a call. We wont be strangers anymore. Again there are lovers in my door. When I found myself I did not run away This is were I wanted you to stay Let others be strangers and not in our way This were we are really strong. We wont back away when things go wrong. Believing in each other wont make strangers. You image is now so clear In my heart you are so near. In my heart your image is always so clear.
