David Meyer has been making music since the age of five. He began playing in bands in his native New York at the age of 15, and achieved regional success in the early 1970's. In addition to playing multiple instruments, David is also a proficient MIDI programmer and producer of sampled music. He has written over 200 compositions throughout his 35 years of writing, and has produced several full-length collections of his own material.
David lives in Northern California, where, for the past 15 years he has been active in local bands. David is also a partner in Longshot Productions, a company dedicated to the production and promotion of Northern California music and musicians. www.myspace.com/davidgmeyer
Eric Dahm - Keys, Accordion, Guitar, Sax, Accordion, Media Content & Backing Vocals
A deformed love child of 80's pop and 60's lounge music, Eric brings to Alanis-Crow his passion for eclectic and juxtaposed musical styles. “The whole yin and yang, happy/sad, joy/angst, good vs. evil – that contrasts these two artists -- is what makes performing these songs so interesting and satisfying. Yet both Morrisette and Crow have built a solid radio and concert friendly repertoire. They are known for their engaging live performances that feature songs rich with intelligent and witty lyricism and high energy arrangements. AndalanisCROW gives audiences – for the first time -- the opportunity to enjoy both artists in a way never done before.”
Although sequencing, composing, studio performance, and orchestration are among his many skills, playing piano is his favorite activity. "Life is like a piano... what you get out of it depends on how you play it."
Eric produces and markets instructional media, lives in El Dorado Hills, is married, and has two children. www.myspace.com/ericjdahm
Lon Kennedy - Electric & Acoustic Guitars & Backing Vocals
Originally from San Jose, California, Lon is a multi-instrumentalist with a passion for all kinds of music and experience that spans over 3 decades. Although raised with relocated Texas “hillbillies” who played country and bluegrass, he played classical music with violin in District Honor Symphony, Upright Bass with the Monterey Symphony and worked with San Jose Symphony members.
Changing to guitar, he played for commercial pop bands, and opened for Grammy winners “Vital Information” in the Modern Funk-Jazz group “Soul Politiks”. Since that time, he's played the banjo and dobro in bluegrass and county-rock settings. For something different, (in May of 2007) he wrote a 10 piece orchestral composition for the opening music of Shakespeare's “Much ado about Nothing” performed at one of the local High Schools. One of the things Lon is noted for by other musicians is his ability to recognize tones and complex harmony giving him the title “The Chordmeister”. “For me, I found beauty in all kinds of music…there is something to be gained, something to get a hold on.”
In alanisCrow , he's a “rock guitar dude” along with Jerry “Hutch” Hutchins. Lon gives it up for the band and audience with his best effort and is sure to please with great tone, sharp edged licks and fun stage antics.
Jerry Hutchins- Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Pedal Steel & Backing Vcals
"My love of music started at about age 10 when my older brother Jim gave me an acoustic guitar. Jim was already playing classical guitar, and gave me a few lessons to get me started. At age 12 I bought a Gibson Melody Maker and really got serious about becoming a guitarist. By age 15 I was forming bands with other kids in the neighborhood and having a lot of fun. After high school I played in a band called Anthem for about a year, doing clubs and other small venues. It was about this time that I met John Olson at a music jam session. John and I formed a close friendship that we have shared through many years and many music projects. "
"Among the groups I've been involved in locally is the smooth jazz band After Sunset and most recently a very well-rehearsed classic rock band Rockinbocker. My guitar playing has been heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Benson, Wes Montgomery, Eric Johnson and many others. I have also learned to play bass, 5 string banjo and the pedal steel guitar. I enjoy playing a variety of musical styles from jazz to bluegrass, country and hard rock. The alanisCROW Project is giving me opportunity to play several different styles, which makes it a lot of fun for me. Jerry is happily married and has two wonderful children." www.myspace.com/geraldhutchins
John Olson - Acoustic & Electronic Drums & Percussion
John's love of music was evident at the age of 10 when his parents signed him up for accordion lessons (watch out Eric!). John's aspirations to replace Myron Floren on the Lawrence Welk Show were cut short when his teenage neighbor began playing snare drum for the high school band. Oh, and the Beatles launched in America that same year. Bye, Bye accordion, hello drums!
John has played locally since 1971, in bands ranging from Blues to Contemporary Jazz and most things in between. "ThealanisCROW Project is a vision that brings tremendous satisfaction in that the dynamics of the two very different artists allow for a great variety of techniques and creative thinking behind the kit. I've never had so much fun performing!"
John is a dedicated family man, living in Newcastle with his wife, Celeste, and surrounded by family as much as possible. "Friends & family - no greater fans could I ask for!" John's MySpace Site
Influences
Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow and a mulitude of rock, jazz, fusion and country artists the world over.

Not an easy task considering it was your first time in front of a large audience. Congrats to you all on a great performance. We'll be back to enjoy you again!!!

Your band was awsome!! The singers have great stage presence. ( Lots of energy and very theatrical !) which keeps the audience interested and sucked in.) Great musicianship. The change ups of instruments created a lot of different sounds which made the songs and the set in general really interesting. Sometimes a group can start to sound mono tone after a half hour or so, especially if the songs are in the same or close to the same keys. I could listen to you guys all night because you change things up with different intruments and song choices that are also arranged differently. I am amazed at how many songs your band has learned to play together already. Have fun on stage mix it up with each other and keep working on theatrics. ( Unbeleivable presentation for a back yard concert ) Suggestion: Change light and spot settings to alter the mood of the songs. Oh ya where the hell is the drum solo?? I want a drum solo!! nothing like a drum solo to whip the crowd into a frenzy!! Had a great time. Scott

hey, when is your next gig... i need an excuse to get tossed yo!!!!
This Video was shot by an employee of KCRA when AlanisCROW did the promo for the Raley Field Rhythm & Ribs Festival - sound is stictly raw, but fun. Concert on the Patio from Kris Vera-Phillips on Vimeo.
AlanisCROW is located in Newcastle, California, just northeast of Sacramento. The concept for this dual tribute rolled around for about 9 months before auditions began. The core rhythm section formed quickly and our vocalists signed on immediately. The band is powerful & tight.
The final players were located and AlanisCROW spread it's wings. The music is full of joy (and angst :-). The vocalists are mesmerizing, the players strong and the band's dynamics and stage show are first rate!
