I present the award winning BBC Introducing shows called RAW TALENT on BBC Radio Leeds & Humberside & streaming on the BBCiplayer. Live every Sunday 8-10 on Humberside and Wednesdays 7-10 on Leeds

PUT WEST YORKSHIRE RAW TALENT INTO BBCIPLAYER FOR LATEST SHOW.

Im in my seventh year on the radio, with live unsigned band sessions every week & acoustic sets by local artists. There's over 60 of the sessions on video on bbc.co.uk/rawtalent
Iv'e had around 500 live sets on the show so far by some great bands.
If you miss the live show you can use the listen again (BBC iplayer) function on the site, up to the following Sunday.

To keep busy and pay the bills, I make music videos & work on TV documentaries, present the BBC Introducing Stage at Leeds/Reading Festival and others), chair demo listening panels and music conferences & work as a consultant.
I've worked in the voluntary sector since 1992 and I'm involved in the work of a number of social enterprises and businesses. Including: Director of Volcom (The Voluntary & Community Sector Learning Consortium Ltd), Regional Adviser for The New Deal for Musicians programme, Director of on2nite Ltd, Chair of FEAST (Food Education & Social Transformation), & a Director of Beverley Folk Festival.

My family are all musicians in the Irish folk world, 6 generations of musicians that we know about see www.myspace.com/rawfamily .
Iv'e been a musician with lots of bands and sessioned a lot. Highlights include: playing Glastonbury, making a dub album with Benjamin Zephaniah, being featured in the book "Banging On" by Geof Nicholls, watching my videos on TV (MTV, Ch4, BBC), playing on a record in the American charts, Playing Djembe in a band in West Africa and getting John Peel dancing. I'm a 50 things to do before I die kind of person, and I'm always thinking of the next thing. I've done some really fun ones already, but the best thing in the world is being a daddy to my son Harrison Raw, there's a picture of him in my pics.
