I've been playing drums pro & semi for over 40 years, and been press-ganged into doing vocals for about 20 of those. Played in so many bands even I can't remember all of them! I've appeared on the support slot with quite a few "names" mainly from the 70's & 80's = Thin Lizzy, Nazareth, Chicken Shack, Cozy Powell (God rest him), Andy Fraser (Free), Elkie Brooks, Robert Palmer.....etc. I've also done the holiday camp residences with bands & duo's. One with my friend Glyn Reece,Keyboards (excellent) which was torn apart before it had a chance to fly, partly by Glyn being struck down by illness & partly by a little turd of a so-called comedian called Clive "C.C" Conway who shit on Glyn big time!!
Since then....more rock bands, I also ran my own cabaret/showband for 6 years called Black Ice, we played in lots of hotels, holiday camp seasons etc..Our highlight was a week in Malta for their Millenium celebrations at The Corinthia St George/Marina Hotel complex in St. Georges Bay.
Nowadays partly retired to arthritic back. Every Thursday I play in the house band at the famous Chester Bells Jam Night in town. Don't read music, proud to say I've never needed to wherever I've played, and would'nt know a rudiment if it bit me on the arse! Fly by the seat of the pants & love it!!!
