Band MembersThere are a few people Alan would like to acknowledge because of the impact they have had in both his musical and personal life.

Sincere thanks to Britney, Mom, Sarah, Matt Leland, Kevin Robinson, Kat, Jenn, Maureen, and his Dad.

InfluencesAs noted in the slide show below, Alan's influences have been Mozart, Hank Williams and The Beatles. His attraction to these artists was due in large part to the simple, beautiful melodies these artists created. His 6 years of classical violin set a foundation for the melodic bass playing Alan is known for today. The Beatles provided an outlet for a 10 year old who wanted nothing more than to play rock and roll. Hank Williams later provided a style of music Alan could relate to and his songs are very much in that style today. Other influential artists are The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Beethoven and later in life, bands like Nirvana and Toad the Wet Sprocket as well as Natalie Merchant.

Sounds LikeAlan definitely has a "signature voice'.....Listen to the newly added tunes...

1. Destination 2 is a full band version of the tune which includes not only Alan on vocals and guitar, but Rick Mullen(Don McLean,Savoy Brown,Commander Cody) and Michael Strange(Phoebe Snow) on electric guitar.Michael also engineered and produced.

2. A Little While is a song written by Alan while driving cross country. Rick Mullen played bass and "Jaru" engineered.

3. Leaving is a tune used in the credits of a film called Due Dilligence. Rick Mullen plays bass. Engineered by Jason Morris.

4.Destination is the original acoustic version recorded in White Plains in 2002. Rick Mullen on bass. Jaru engineering.

5. Time Out is a pretty self-explanatory tune, the lyrics being integral. This is a kinder, softer version. Done with full band it becomes quite powerful! Engineered by Jason Morris.

6. Cleo The Bad Witch is a theme song for a Time/Warner kids show that never got off the ground but what an experience! Engineered by Mike Strange who also played guitar. Rick Mullen on bass. It's pretty cool and was alot of fun recording!

   About Alan Semenovich
Alan Semenovich singer/songwriter

After six years of study as a classical violinist, Alan Semenovich replaced the disciplined world of Mozart and Beethoven with a bass guitar and a newly discovered sound called "rock & roll".

Following his early days as a bassist for such bands as Blank Expression, Out of the Blue, Hejl and Reign and later Destiny and Sunface, he discovered that his musical heart was in writing and performing his own brand of acoustic rock & roll.

Semenovich has touched audiences with his emotionally charged acoustic performances in such venues as The Guilded Otter (New Paltz, NY), Cafe Aurora (Poughkeepsie, NY), The Flo-Jean (Port Jervis, NY), The Black Cow (Croton-On-Hudson, NY), The Annual Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Festival (Burlington, VT) The Muddy Cup (New Paltz), The Underground Lounge (NYC),Club 169 (NYC), 181 Cabrini (NYC),The Red Room (NYC), and has even played a private party for United States Senator Ben "Nighthorse" Campbell in Durango, Colorado. He's shared a stage with Pete Seeger at The Arlington Street Festival in 2003.Additionally, cuts from his 2005 CD - Caravelle Lounge Motel have received airplay on upstate New York radio stations.

Notable among Semenovich's writings and performance credits are the theme song to the independent film "Due Diligence" (Living Room Theater productions) and the theme song to the children's show "Witch Way Out?" for Time Warner Cable. As far as bass playing, Alan has played shows for Commander Cody, Dallas Fisher, The Handsome Men,and recently , jazz trio...CPR.Additionally, Semenovich has consistently placed as Favorite Solo Artist in the Hudson Valley in Rhythm & News magazine's annual reader's poll. He was voted Favorite Artist to Keep an Eye Out For in 2002.

Alan Semenovich is available as an acoustic act (with or without stand up bass) or as a full piece band which still maintains acoustic flavor.

Although still devoted to Mozart and Beethoven, Alan Semenovich's sound, style and performance are in tune with what people are listening to today...he's waiting to hear from you.

THE HOWLING

Need To Slide Under The Radar For A While -Counting Days Again Til I Can Feel Alive-A Loathing Deep Inside Makes Me Realize-This Howling makes Me Want To Die

I Was Feeling Fine, Thought I Could Take A Ride- Somewhere On That Road I Lost My Precious Pride- When I Woke Again, Was On The Other Side- This Howling Makes Me Want To Cry

This Is A Howling I Will Take To My Grave-A Yearning Deep Inside That Made Me It's Slave- Something's In My Mind Are Better Left Unsaid-I Know This Howling Wants me Dead

I Was Feeling Shame, Was Lonely Filled With Fear-So Removed From Life, Brought Myself To Tears-Had To Tell Myself It's Just Another Day-Until This Howling Goes Away

Came A Time One Day, I Was All Alone-Walked Into A Room, I Made My Feelings Known-When I Looked Around I Knew I Couldn't Hide- This Howling Knew It Was Surprised

Now I Find Myself, I Live From Day To Day-Need To Have Some Faith, Can't Let This Slip Away-When I Lay Myself To Sleep Every Night-I Pray, I Thank Some Guiding Light

This Is A Howling I Will Take To My Grave-A Yearning Deep Inside That Makes Me Afraid-Something's In My Mind Are Better left Unsaid--I Know This Howlin Wants Me Dead
