My English country rock adventure began back in the early nineties with my band The Rockingbirds. Inspired by the cosmic American music of Gram Parsons and the Flying Burrito Brothers, we made two critically acclaimed albums on the Heavenly (Sony/Columbia) label -The Rockingbirds (1992) and Whatever Happened to the Rockingbirds (1994) and the band went on to tour the UK extensively, with festival appearances at Glastonbury, Reading, Phoenix, Cambridge, and Finsbury Park Fleadh and TV appearances on things like Later with Jools Holland, Top of the Pops and MTV. The band split in 1995 but in 2008 we re-united to play the Heavenly 18th birthday celebrations at the South Bank in London, and this led to the re-release of the long deleted first album on Heavenly and a short UK tour.
In between all this, I've made 4 albums, 2 under the name of Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield, 3 for our Spanish friends Hanky Panky records.
Faithful - Alan Tyler (Littlefield Records - 2002)
Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield (Hanky Panky 2006)
So Far - Alan Tyler (Hanky Panky 2007)
Lonesome Cowboys - Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield (2008)
I continue to write and perform with the Lost Sons, the Rockingbirds, and as a solo artist. I also run my Sunday afternoon music event Come Down and Meet the Folks every second and last Sunday of the month at the Apple Tree pub in Clerkenwell, London.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.
Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.
I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks

The Kittiwakes - CD Launch - Clerkenwell 22nd June
Leigh-on-Sea 3-piece, The Kittiwakes, celebrate the release of their Midwich Records debut, ‘Lofoten Calling’, a collection of original folk songs written about the people, landscape, folklore and history of the Lofoten Islands above the Arctic Circle and influenced by the traditional music of Norway and the British Isles.
'The Kittiwakes craft timeless and magical acoustically dappled folk treats - gentle and alluring ostensibly Gaelic in sound texture and gorgeously flighty braided as they are by corteges of mandolins, accordions and violins.' [LOSING TODAY]
'The Kittiwakes (rissa tridactyla): delicious, intriguing and evocative music, beautifully played and sung by this talented trio. Recommended to twitchers and lovers of folk music alike' [LEIGH FOLK FESTIVAL]
Catch
That Rockabilly Fever by Sheree Homer is a candid account of life on the
road and in the studio with '50s legends and today's talent. These are personal
stories told by the artists themselves. It's a soft cover biography that will
be published in October 2009 by McFarland Publishers and retail for $39.95. It
will have never before seen photos (strictly 1950's photos of the legends) and
rare stories from the artists themselves. Catch
That Rockabilly Fever will be approximately 350 pages in length. It will be
unlike any other rockabilly book on the market since it will include some of
today's hottest young talent plus insightful stories from 1950's backing
musicians and engineers for the first time, such as James Kirkland (Bob Luman,
Ricky Nelson), Richie Frost (Ricky Nelson), Steve Handford (Bobby Lee
Trammell), Tony Austin (Rock and Roll Trio), Stanley Walker (Ray Smith), Bobby
Poe (Wanda Jackson), Vernon Sandusky (Big Al Downing) and Bob Sullivan
(KWKH/Louisiana Hayride). Foreword by acclaimed writer Ken Burke.
These forty-six artists will have individual profiles and one
glamorous photo per musician: Glen Glenn, Lew Williams, Art Adams, Elvis
Presley, Ricky Nelson, Bob Luman, Ed Bruce, Dickey Lee, Jack Earls, Hayden
Thompson, Maddox Brothers and Rose, Sonny Burgess, Carl Mann, Ray Smith, Johnny
Powers, Larry Donn, Pat Cupp, Ronnie Hawkins, Bobby Lee Trammell, Huelyn
Duvall, Gene Summers, Sonny West, Buddy Holly, The Collins Kids, Wanda Jackson,
Charlie Gracie, Big Al Downing, Laura Lee Perkins, The Rock and Roll Trio,
Narvel Felts, The Dave and Deke Combo, Kim Lenz, Go Cat Go, High Noon, Larry
Cole, Cari Lee Merritt, Josie Kreuzer, Eddie Clendening, Suzy and Buddy Dughi,
