Music
I like a lot of music, I love jazz, classical, rock and roll, R&B and more. My favourite classical music composers are Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Wagner, Beethoven, Holst and Chopin. I also love jazz! It was the original rock and roll and set the foundations for almost all modern music. I like too many jazz performers to name most of them but I really love John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Nina Simone, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Rosemary Clooney, Billie Holiday, “Bing” Crosby, Thelonious Monk, Artie Shaw, Roberta Flack, Django Reinhardt, Manfred Mann's Earth Band (also rock and roll) and The Temperance Seven (who were wonderfully light-hearted!). My favourite popular music bands are The Beatles, Steely Dan, ABBA, the Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Lordi, Thin Lizzy, The Hollies, The Kinks The Velvet Underground, The Doors, The Who, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and much more. Some of my favourite solo singers are John Lennon, George Harrison, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chic, Leonard Cohen, Dusty Springfield, Weird Al and David Bowie. I have also grown quite fond of Sean Lennon's music and I find it a shame that he is mainly remembered for being his father's son than a musician in his own right. I was quite surprised b how much I liked his music as most of the modern artists I tried to get into were not my bowl of rice!

You Should Be an Artist
You are incredibly creative, spontaneous, and unique.
No one can guess what you're going to do next, but it's usually something amazing.
You can't deal with routine, rules, or structure. You're easily bored.
As long as you are able to innovate and break the rules, you are extremely successful.
You do best when you:
- Can work by yourself
- Can express your personality in your work
You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.
In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.
You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.
At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.
You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.
How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak
Not only are you color blind, but you're also ethnicity blind, gender blind, and sexual orientation blind.
You don't judge someone until you truly know them. And even then, you're probably reluctant to judge.
You try to treat everyone equally. Everyone has a fair chance with you.
Good job - there's not a prejudiced bone in your body.

Ah...{VERSE 2}Follow her down to a bridge by a fountainWhere rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies,Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,That grow so incredibly high.Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,Waiting to take you away.Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,And you're gone.{REFRAIN}Picture yourself on a train in a station,With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,The girl with kaleidoscope eyes. Take this quiz!
You are so open minded that your brain may have fallen out!
Well, not really. But you may be confused on where you stand.
You don't have a judgmental bone in your body, and you're very accepting.
You enjoy the best of every life philosophy, even if you sometimes contradict yourself.
Alan For the first time since I signed up for Myspace, I had to delete a ''friend''. She really needs to sort out a few problems and learn that call Posted at 2:07 PM Nov 23 view more
About me: NOTE: I AM NOT ACCEPTING ANY FRIEND REQUESTS.
I will just be keeping the myspace friends that I already have and will accept no more. I apologise if you do actually want to add me though.
Hi! I am Alan. I am currently living in northern England but I would be happy living anywhere I am tolerated! I like all the usual things, swimming, sleeping (or more correctly dreaming), eating, reading, listening to music, travel and walks on the beach.
I am a keen supporter of religious tolerance and support the rights of theists, atheists and agnostics.
Great song by Ewan MacColl, sung beautifully by Roberta Flack.

Who I'd like to meet: All sorts as long as they are not fascist, soviet, racist or just intolerant in any way..
I do not believe in the concept of race and I can get on with people of all colours and creeds; what matters is whether you seem like a reasonable person or not.
I am especially interested in meeting artists and genuine people whom I can call friends.

Travelling on the road of real life, I'm thinking of my friends. I'm exchanging surfing on the world wide web to a world wide voyage and hope to make real friends on virtual networks. Till the end of this year, messages, comments and blogs may be rare and slow. I'm heading for new experiences on the old and new treck of flower children searching for peace of mind, peace in the world, and other values. May we be brothers and sisters on the dawn of a better life, united in love around the globe.
