I grew up most of my life in Two Rivers, Wisconsin which is near Manitowoc and Milwaukee. I still love the Green Bay Packers! My nick used to be "troutman" because of my love of trout fishing. I sure miss my cheese curds and beer brats! Now that I've moved out to California, I head up to the Eastern Sierra several times each year with my family and friends. My favorites? Lundy Lake, June Lake, and of course Mammoth Lakes. We sponsor an Alpers trout tournament up there called TroutStock. Living in So Cal also allowed me the opportunity to fish the local islands, Mexico and many of the Southern California lakes.

I love fishing the California coast, bow hunting, surf fishing, collecting Kodak brownie cameras, tasting premium wine. I’m somewhat of a computer geek since I was programming pretty early on in life. I remember "hand punching" my first punch card back at Banning High School in 1977. It was just a small batch run that we sent over to Texas somewhere and got the results back the following day. That was way before Microsoft Windows!
Even more about Albackore: My wife and I started this business back in 2001. She also likes scrap booking and is a guide dog handler. We are currently raising a guide dog puppy for Guide Dogs of America. His name is Kuma. From its' meager beginnings as a small family-run company in Southern California, it has now grown tremendously and is distributed nationally as well as throughout much of Europe and Australia/New Zealand.
