Albannach is Scottish-Gaelic for "Scottish" or "Scotsman". That's exactly what we are. Albannach are all born and bred in Scotland and our purpose in life is to share our intriguing culture, history and heritage with you by means of our music.
Albannach are not just another Scottish 'Pipes & Drums' band, indeed we bring a new and exciting form of music to your living room. A championship winning piper, an extremely talented main drummer, 2 bass drummers and a bodhran musician bring you a brand new approach to percussion and Celtic music. Our style of music is exciting, energetic and enchanting and we promise to leave you begging for more.
can't wait to see you guys in september in NH!! since my lil sister saw you guys last year she is totally in love with live music and drums! so awesome!!! love you guys. and gals.. :)
Thanks sooo much for the ad! I saw you all at the Kentucky Highland Festival.....and I was sooo amazed!!! I loved your music and your whole performance! The thundering sounds of all the huge bass drums, the foot stomping tunes from the bag pipes and the haunting voice that came from Davey's songs....I'll never forget that day! I am a huge celtic music fan, but I have never been exposed to this warrior music that you bring to us! Thank you so much for the phenominal gift that you've given us through your fantastic music! I can't wait until you come to our Faire, The Ohio Renaissance Faire this September!
i am so happy you are coming to raleigh and to the eno festival. both are wonderful venues. many thanks and i look forward to seeing you live again. best of days to you all:)
Heard the name Albannach on public radio yesterday. Promoting the Greenville Highland Games in June. Now if I can just get em to play a few tunes, it might make public radio worth listening to again.
