Hi I'm Alberto Lima, Abstract shadows's guitarman....
I took up music in 1994, when I got his first guitar. My influences come from guitar-heroes such as Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen, Greg Howe, John Petrucci, Michael Romeo, etc. I try to acquire, as it is possible, all the techniques and metrics of the great guitarmen. I also has influences from great composers such as: Sergei Rachamninoff, Villa-Lobos, Astor Piazzola, Franz Schubert, Franz Liszt. It's the romantic period that i have more identification with, because that one has a kind of passion, which expresses by means of very virtuosism, agressive passages, dramas and feeling. I enjoy very much the modernism of Villa-Lobos and the melancholy of Astor Piazzola as well; But my main influence is the last romantic composer, Rachmaninov.
When I compose songs for the band (ABSTRACT SHADOWS), I try to keep no much away from the progressive style, getting freedom to approach other styles in my music.
I am ambidestrum playing with the left hand without change the position of the strings, what results in a different technique.
Favorite Albuns: Images and words, Divine wings of tragedy. (I recommend to listen to: Rachmaninov's piano concert ..2, Piazzola's 4 portea seasons and Villa-Lobos's 12 etudes).
Activitys: Teacher and guitarman.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND KNOW ABOUT ME ON THE OFFICIAL WEB SITE OF MY BAND WWW.ABSTRACTSHADOWS.COM.BR
