August 27th 2009 - New Twinspirits Album OUT in september 11th 2009
Lion Music are pleased to announce the release of the second album from progressive metallers TWINSPIRITS. The new album “The Forbidden City” is set for release on September 11th 2009 and builds upon the sound heard on the bands 2007 debut “The Music That Will Heal The World” (Lion Music). “The Forbidden City” takes the progressive metal approach of the debut and adds more musical depth, more memorable songs along with the ever present sublime musicianship featuring some of the genres best musicians. A key feature of the new album is the band’s new Swedish vocalist Göran Nyström, whose stunning range, power and projection has propelled the bands trademark mix of technical progressive metal with strong song structures and melodic elements onto a higher level.
Born in Montebelluna (Treviso, Italia) in 1981, bass player Alberto Rigoni founded, together with drummer Enrico Buttol, a well-known progressive-metal cover band, "Ascra", performing mainly songs by Dream Theater.
In 2003 he joined the emerging band "Twinspirits", led by Daniele Liverani (Genius Rock Opera, Khymera, ex-Empty Tremor). The band's debut album was released in 2007 by Finnish label Lion Music and received remarkable feedback.
Besides Twinspirits, Rigoni followed a very personal artistic way, composing a solo album entitled "Something Different", released by Lion Music on February 15th 2008 with worldwide distribution. At the same time Alberto shot a video of his hit song “BASSex” (working with Italian company “Solingo Visual Arts”) directed by Elia Cristofoli. The video was broadcast on some Italian tv networks. In 2009 become an Aguilar Amplification endorsee and Lion Music released the new Twinspirits album “The Forbidden City”.
Alberto is now working on a new project called “Lady & the BASS”
"Something Different", Alberto Rigoni's debut solo album, is composed of ten tracks, eight of which arranged as instruments and two of them sung. The main features of the album are, on one side the extreme variety of the tunes, on the other side the union of experimental research with the comeback of melody. Progressive, funky, rock, fusion, ambient suggestions blend in an original poetical mix that frees from any defined genre and turns out to be immediately catchy to every kind of listener.
The CD features appearances by guests such as guitar players Tommy Ermolli and Daniele Gottardo. Some tunes of it have already been successfully broadcast by the Italian national radio channel RAI Radio 3 along with an interview to the author, before any public release.
Something Different has been released on February 15th 2008 by Lion Music with worldwide distribution
