Well, here we are again, having another go at this band thing, taking on all the hassle that goes with it just to stand on a stage for an hour or two, to achieve what could be called a flow experience. Keeps us in the pub I suppose. We've been doing an acoustic thing the last couple of years, which is great as you can just walk into a folk club with just an acoustic guitar, sax, and percussion, and play without all the paraphanelia of PA, drums, vans, humping gear up and down fire escapes sweating buckets, and yer knuckles catching on the doors. Make no bones about it, we've reached the babyboomer stage, but still love playing. We fancied making a bigger noise, so we thought we'd get some younger blood into the mix in the shape of drummer Dia and Steve bassplayer, both handy lads, also they have the affect of lowering the average age to 45(shit thats not very good) minus 10 cause we eat better food and wear George of Asda------- 35; great.
Rehearsals went well, so it wasn't long before we were knocking out plenty of Albino Frog originals. Ian writes the songs which cover rock, jazz and folk styles, arranged with a latin vibe, with a couple of country tunes just for good measure.
Tightening up gig by gig to some nice comments, even had some old friends from way back come to see us. Its like a drug, who needs all that shit when you've got a giging band. Just hope our old bones will hold up. Well, we'll just hop off back to the swamp for now. All the spawn ALBINO FROGS.
