"Take 4 Clash, Stones and Smiths obsessed teenagers, liberally sprinkle with the ramshackle genius of Pete Doherty, paste in the ska-punk musings of The Blizzards and wrap them in song titles such as ..Arcadia.. and voila!- you’re left with Albyno Rhino, one of the finest raw talents of 2007"

“One of the most exciting emerging talents in Ireland today”
-Matt Dempsey, 98fm-

Forming in 2005, Albyno Rhino are an indie rock band from South Dublin. Their debut single, "Wasters in the End", was released to the masses in March 2007, enjoying airplay on 98fm, Phantom, Spin103.8fm and Today fm. After much positive media feedback, the song was subsequently chosen as the theme song for 98fm’s talent showcase program held weekly on the station.
Between the final of the ’National Student Music Awards’, an acclaimed performance at the 4th ‘Live in your Living Room’ show in the ‘Sugar Club’ and the launch of their second ‘radio single’, “Masks”, Albyno Rhino have been heavily involved in the Irish music scene in recent months.
The indie 4-piece intend to have fresh recordings available in Summer 2008, which will reflect the development and direction the band are now taking. After much media publicity over the past year, Albyno Rhino are now focusing on further development, both musically and commercially, with each member firmly believing that this year will truly be ‘the year of the rhino’.
