The Most Extraordinary Rap Singer of our time.... Inspired by The Notorious B.I.G, Scarface, Ronald Isley, and his Late Father Jerry Williams. Al Chauncy created the moniker for originality purposes, he knew no other artist would have the guts to be called Al Chauncy and he felt the name itself was like a missing member of The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, and Al Chauncy).
In 2006 Al Chauncy stepped out on his own and created Song King Music Group, creating a regional buzz with his hit record "I'm From Raleigh Ho" throughout the streets of North and South Carolina. This Buzz caught the ear of independent label owner PUG FLAVA of P.U.G. Records and immediately created a joint partnership with P.U.G Records and Song King Music Group just after one meeting.
Due to the buzz on the streets the fans crowned Al Chauncy as The Carolina Mayor, for being proactive in the streets as well as the music scenery in The State of North Carolina. His New unique soul singing as well as being an extraordinary rap artist has garnered him a growing fan base all over the country. His Debut album MEET THE MAYOR is expecting to be filled with vivid lyrics of politics, ambition, women, struggle, sacrifice, and pure entertainment.
Al Chauncy was nominated for best Male Rap artist in 2009 North Carolina Underground Music Awards and performed in front of thousands which gained him great notoriety around the Carolinas. He has also took advantage of the mixtape market with the success of his Carolina Crushers Vol. 1 Mixtape hosted by none other Than Southern Smoke DJ Smallz that sold very well in the South East region. Al Chauncy is also featured on Mixtapes by DJ Barry Bee (NC), DJ Cartune of Cartune Netwerk (AL), DJ Ike G Da (Core DJ’s NC), and DJ Kwite Sane (Montreal, CA).

Al Chauncy has also recorded with Grammy Award engineer and producer Joe “The Butcher” Niccolo who signed and produced the Diamond selling recording group The Fugees, Cypress Hill, Kriss Kross and more. His journey in the music business hasn’t always been triumphful, his first record deal at 18yrs. with his disbanded group Bloodline was shelved, Due to the merge Priority Records had with Capital Records. So the paper work never succeeded and Al Chauncy and his group decided to part ways. Ten years of hard work has been done, and at 26 years old The Carolina Mayor is ready to take on the world.
