ALCOHOLIKA LA CHRISTO is an Industrial Band from La Paz Bolivia formed by Viko Paredes.
He began ALCOHOLIKA in 1992 in La Paz Bolivia . later he moved to New York where he formed Alcoholika with American musicians
Recording their first album AGONIKA, released in 1995 . The original sound was essentially Heavy Metal that was more melodic than the music for which Viko would become known in the incarnation of ALCOHOLIKA..
LA CHRISTO . The second album was release in 1997 .The music was Metal Gothic Techno Industrial, and the sound was harsher and more aggressive than what Alcoholika had recorded before. This would prove a pivotal move in the course of Alcoholika la Christo. A video for "Witches & Vampires" aired twice on Mtv LATINO Headbangers ball.
In 2001 was released the album TOXICNOLOGY including a song “Raza de Bronce” a fusion of Metal industrial with Andean music inspired in Bolivian Traditional Music played by Native Instruments from El Altiplano .
After some years of hard work, wild rumors, unreal offers and long negotiations the silence is finally broken. On march 2006 ALCOHOLIKA LA CHRISTO. signed an ambitious record deal with the SWICHZERLAND Watermelon Entertainment ,the well known and respected label based in Fribourg,”.this album was released in September 15-2006 and January 30 -2007 under licence in EEUU, Mexico and more than 18 countries of Europe .
In 2007 Alcoholika released a soundtrack album “NACION ALCOHOLIKA” from the Bolivian movie “Quien mato a la llamita Blanca”
2008 Alcoholika La christo is back with a new album “Santificato “
