Alcrani, aka Carter Wolfe, has been producing music since 1999. He grew up playing any kind of instrument he could get his hands on including piano, guitar/bass guitar, and trumpet. Meanwhile his interest in computers led him to experiment with digital recording and trackers. He wrote experimental IDM tunes throughout high school, with very limited knowledge of production techniques. In an effort to hone his skills and create a more serious sound, Alcrani began a foray into drum and bass. Soon, he was submerged deep into the process of developing a hard-hitting style with an emphasis on twisted bass lines. Alcrani's first release, a split EP with Cubik, dropped in January 2008.
