    Alcyona began playing piano at the age of 3. Since then she has released two critically acclaimed albums, 'Around the Sun' 06 which won the Promoter's Choice award and nominated for a Parliamentary Jazz award, and 'BLink' on LoopRecords 08 with world renowned percussionist Paul Clarvis and french saxophonist Robin Fincker. She is currently writing and performing live to silent film, and working with Natacha Atlas. Alcyona has just gained an MA composing music for film at the prestigious National Film and Television School.
