   About Alder Guitars
Myspace Layouts

Born fresh in 2007, Alder Guitars is a development from MidWest ProSound, Inc. MidWest ProSound is dedicated to music and helping anyway they can. We began to realize what the cause to so much bad music in today's society was really coming from. Large corporation are killing music. Large record labels are able to make or break any musician. They have the money to promote whatever will make them money, and they have been infecting the real talent and real emotion with what they want to sell. This infection does not stop there. We must buy music from large corporation, we must watch what the large corporations choose on TV and listen on radio. And one over-looked infection is the large corporations that sell us our musical instruments.

It is hard from small local music stores to survive. This includes CD stores as well as instrument stores. These instrument stores would rather sell a hundred cheap guitars then a few really nice ones. It is true that children go through phases of interest. No one wants to spend a lot of money on a guitar for their child that will give it up in a week. This is what the large corporations are preying on. Make a quick sale, sell them cheap, the dedicated players will come back to upgrade, the rest were just a quick profit from people that probably wouldn't have bought the guitar in the first place if it wasn't so cheap.

Yes, this all works in marketing world. But it doesn't help the music industry. Where are all the small shops that would take the time and show you the products and actually know what they are talking about? The shops that also offer private lessons and help to maintain your instrument? Everyday another one of these shops is put out of business.

Why are we different? -- Well, we work hard to provide great guitars for the low price that our fellow starving musicians can afford. Yes, having one of the classic brands is nice, but once you have payed so much for it, you are afraid to play it. You need a guitar that plays nice, feels good, and give the same sweet sound that you love. Young beginner players need to experience a quality guitar, otherwise they never really learn how to play it. The result of this is the crap we call music today. A good guitar is a gateway. A rite of passage to a good musician. Pick up an Alder guitar, play it the way it was meant to be played. These guitars are not meant to be hung in a glass case and never touched. Though, they may look like it!

No matter what type of music a young aspiring musician grows into, a nice guitar is always a way to help spark inspiration. Guitars are used for every kind of music from classical to rap. Creativity is the key, and the way to achieve it is to play an Alder Guitar.

Our guitars are in early development, but we promise to satisfy. We can do this because each guitar is personally looked over by Erik Alder, himself. A long time guitar player, Erik, began playing guitar before the age of six and shortly after began learning to repair and understand the build of a guitar. He quickly began to understand the differences between a good guitar and a cheap guitar. Now, he is able to put these years of experience into making sure every aspect of the axe is the best it can be.

You will never see an Alder Guitar hanging in a large corporate store. Yes, this means that Alder Guitars will never be the richest company, but we will be the most honest. We refuse to allow the sale of our guitars in this large corporate stores. We will always do our best to provide the small local stores with the best service for our products. If you are an owner of a local music store please contact us at alderguitars@midwestprosound.com. We have several options to help start selling our guitars in your store.

Check out our HOT! products!!
