  • Bio

ALDO's.. music transports the listener to some other place - where the sky rests upon the ocean, the ocean glides onto the beach, and the wind is all but a gentle breeze. The artist's first creation "Close To You" released in 2003 continues to receive 5 stars ratings, the song "Silent Star" received US national radio play on the syndicated radio program "Echoes", the music from "Close To You" continues to receive air play on a variety of Internet radio stations, International satellite radio, and public radio stations within the US and abroad. ALDO's music contains a light and mellow blend of acoustic and nylon string guitars accompanied by some slow grooves, textures, and natural sounds, perfect in setting the right atmosphere for romance, passion, or deep relaxation! Wind and Wire, reviewer Bill Binkelman writes: This album is a first rate exploration of acoustic guitar instrumentals; I was consistently impressed by both ALDO's production and his winning ways with melody, song structure, and, of course, his guitar playing; I highly recommend this CD; Over the years, I've seen a lot of good-to-great talent go unrecognized, but ALDO's "Close To You" is simply too good to be ignored. ALDO received his classical guitar training and music degree under the direction of professor Glenn Lyons at the University of West Chester. ALDO uses a combination of classical and finger style techniques to achieve his unique guitar sound. He classifies his musical style as "Contemporary Classical Guitar" because the music he creates departs from traditional classical guitar music; ALDO's original style has been described by others as having the following elements: 'Mediterranean', 'Italian', 'Spanish', 'Latin', 'New Age', 'Smooth Jazz' 'Spiritual', 'Romantic', 'Relaxing', 'Passion' Listener Reviews: Close To You’ Gives voice to the stars! Reviewer: Jeannie Sanders from MI (www.myspace.com/pethikemou) ‘Close To You’ lifts you up to the stars, dips you in the sea, and warms you with the sunshine of a gentle guitar on this profoundly soothing collection. Guided securely at the hand of a confident talent, ‘Close To You’ coaxes you to relax and asks you to feel nostalgic; you will feel transported, yet comforted and safe when you are in the presence of this work. It is strong and lovely! Awesome, engaging & moving!!! Reviewer: Joseph Stefanick from PA : This is one of the best new CDs that I have in my collection. Aldo's music is moving, very engaging and just plain awesome. I listened to the CD numerous times in my car while traveling recently. I had Goosebumps and tears at times; Aldo really puts his emotion into the music! This CD is a definite buy!.. Really great music, I enjoyed it immensely Reviewer: Shannon Nations : The music was inspiring and relaxing at the same time. It even made me cry. Please keep playing your music; you have touched my soul as well as my heart Excellent Guitar Music Reviewer: Robert Lee Johnson from Denver, CO : One of the Best Contemporary Guitar CDs I have ever heard. My Guitar Heroes are Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, John Williams, and I have to put Aldo in the class with the finer Guitarists. Phenomenal! Reviewer: Jeanna S. from Bradenton, FL : Aldo’s music is relaxing, meditative and moving. “Close to You” creates the perfect atmosphere for any environment; it will make a connection with any mood or setting. Highly recommend for anyone who loves listening to beautiful, creative music. I listen to this CD constantly, and look forward to more from ALDO in the future! Aldo's music is beautiful! Reviewer: Farrokh Attarzadeh from Sugar Land, TX : I first came across the Aldo music through the latest release of a CD called Passion by Soothingmusic.com. This CD was actually the 2005 release of Mehdi, that I happened to have all his CDs and enjoy them all very much. Having listened to the Aldo tracks (3 of them) so many times, I decided to have the full CD by Aldo which I got about a month ago. Aldo's music is beautiful and all tracks sound just great. I recommend this CD to all instrumental music lovers

I have so many various musical influences the list would be huge but I will try to describe a brief picture for the guitar readers on my personal guitar progression. I started playing guitar around age 10-11 which would have been around 1977-78. I was really into rock music as kid growing up and the band Led Zeppelin with Jimmy Page on guitar was my first real influence, I was also into Jimi Hendrix at the time. I can still remember the day I was introduced to the biggest guitar influence of my life, it was summer day in 1978 or 1979, an older neighbor who played guitar had his patio door open, this screaming electric guitar solo came out of his stereo and I couldnt believe what I was hearing, I ran over to his door shaking my head in disbelief and amazement, it was Eruption by Eddie Van Halen. Eddie became my greatest influence up through my high school years and along the way I found several other 80s style guitar players that influenced me. I believe it was the neo-classical electric guitar player Yngwie Malsteen that started to really spark my interest in branching out into learning classical guitar. I was opened up to whole different side of guitar playing when I was accepted to studying classical guitar at West Chester University under professor Glenn Lyons. I credit Glenn for providing the lacking structure and technique into my playing because for years I just relied on playing by ear and my own creative improvisational style, the combination has made me a well-rounded guitar player. I still enjoy playing various guitar styles but at this point in my life I devote the majority of time creating contemporary classical guitar music. The following is a list of guitarists that have influenced my guitar playing style over the years; I have placed them in my historical order of introduction: For Rock Guitar: Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, George Lynch, Yngwie Malsteen, Steve Via, Vinnie Moore, Steve Morse, Joe Santriani, Eric Johnson, Al Estrada, Andy Timmons, Dave Martone, Paul Gilbert For Blues/Jazz/Fusion Guitar: Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, Larry Carlton, Jeff Beck, George Benson, Stanley Jordan, Al Dimeola, Frank Gambale, Peter White, Adrian Legg For Classical Guitar: Glenn Lyons, Angres Segovia, Fernando Sor, Julio Sagreras, Elias Barreiro, Leo Brouwer, Francesco Corbetta, Domencio Scarlatti, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Matteo Carcassi, Mauro Giuliani
