    Which Tarot Card Are You?

You are the Emperor card. The Emperor leads the way into the world that The Empress allowed us to experience. He is the archetype of the Father who provides the organization and structure of the world. The Emperor is the government, and as such represents control. At this stage in The Fool's Journey, there is no need to deviate from the status quo. By participating actively in society, we come to an understanding of social structure. The Emperor applies the laws and rules for us to follow. The Emperor is the first of the zodiacal attributions in the major arcana. He shares with Aries a creative energy and, at his best, responsibility for the subjects in his charge. At his worst he can become domineering and authoritarian. About me:

Writer

You may not believe me; I can use one word to describe myself. Writer. Short and simple. I'm a writer and I enjoy doing it. Sure. Anyone and everyone can claim to be a writer. Heck, they can even give you a free demo. But what sets Writers and writers apart?

The former is dedicated to enhancing and refining this craft. The latter see it as a chore. Something simple but annoying. Most of the time, they write to the point you'd be bored to death. But we're all writers.

So what do I write? Speeches, Screenplay and scripts, brochures, blogs, online copy, marketing communications, corporate communications and other commercial writing tasks which many find menial yet has a financial compensation behind it.

Don't get me wrong, though. I write with passion. When I write, I make sure it has a voice. Like you, I dislike bland writing, alienating you the reader. Instead, I prefer something alluring. Something that captivates your imagination. Just imagine reading something informative, yet fun. How about spending hours with your nose buried in a book that doesn't feel like a book? I'm sure you've experienced it yourself - reading something as if the author is actually talking to you. Something that goes easy on you.

As of today (January 30th, 2009), I've been rigorously pitching ideas and working synopsis to the production companies that I know. It is my personal hope to see at least 3 of my works within the 12 months of it leaving my desk. I owe this skill and confidence to award-winning writer - and someone I view as a mentor - Mr. Martias Mohd. Ali. Let's not forget the frequent disrupting phone calls to Irwan Mansor!

Always Contemporary, Breaking Precedents

In my life, there's an overarching theme. You can find this theme in the poem The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. Beautiful poem. It defines the road which I intend to take to achieve my definition of success - the road not taken by the majority.

Sure, authors like Adam Khoo encourages us to duplicate the blueprint of others. But that is it. We cannot duplicate exactly the successes of others. But we can learn from their life's achievements and failures. Remember that some things may change. But there are which remains the same. This is where philosophy comes in.

Eccentric Aldric

From what I've wrote, I'm sure you can come to a conclusion. This kid is eccentric. A weirdo. Someone who dreams of defying the norm. Unconventional; and perhaps a troublemaker.

Rest assured, dear friend, that this is but the tip of my iceberg. Just like your own personality, I have a complex character. I dislike being average and normal. I want to be different.

Love of Lifelong Learning

I love to learn. Stopping the process makes me feel incomplete. From the knowledge acquired, I hope to make my contribution to society and Humanity during my short term in this temporal world. :-p

Because of that, I love to hang around people of experience. Hearing their life's lessons. Who knows, in the future I might need the exposure! After all, it's one way of preserving their legacies.

Laying the Foundations to a Solid Future

Manager & Chief of Staff(?)

I believe in teamwork. As a team, when one rises to greatness, the other members ought to share the same if not similar growth. Since the 3rd Quarter of 2008, I have designated my close friend and aid, Syed Khairul Aswad Syed Mokhtar, as the Operations and Technical Manager to AldricTinker.com

. He has done a lot for me in respect of my corporate writing/copywriting practice. In October 2008, with and by advice of Syed Khairul Aswad, I ventured into a realm which I never dreamt of entering - not even in my wildest dream. He talked me into entering the Entertainment Industry. By virtue of his past contribution and experience, I am glad to welcome him as my Manager overseeing the development and activities pertaining this. With the partnership formed and forged, I am able to concentrate on doing what I do best: giving the best of my abilities in the services that I render my clients and customers. Plus, I get the free time to write! X-D That, my friends, is my Ichiban passion.

Everyone Is A Someone

I like to think that my being where I am today as a group effort with me playing the key role in my version of 'Life'. Along the way, I meet people who make and break my perceptions, beliefs and perspectives of this temporal world. Every time paths cross, an opportunity arises. That's a conviction I have living for 22 years and several months.

Who I'd like to meet:

Since it's the Christmas season, the following would sound like the three Ghosts of A Christmas Carol. But hey, there the people who'd I'd like to meet.

Friends of the Past

It'll be great if I could meet my old friends, classmates and schoolmates from Sri Mawar Kindergarden in Miri. Moving it up a ladder, those who attended SRB St. Joseph's Miri, SMB St Joseph's Miri, SMK Datuk Patinggi Kedit Betong, Kolej Datu Patinggi Abg Haji Abdillah Kuching and Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang Miri. While we're talking education, let's not forget my friends from Universiti Teknologi MARA Kedah.

From school, I move to players of the various political simulations like Politics UK and USGS.

Let's not forget hang out buddies and those who attended Church with me back in the days. Well, I'm registered at the St. Columba's Parish in the Diocese of Kuching.

Friends of the Present

Like you, I meet people almost every day. While I can remember a lot of things, there are times when slip of the memory happens. So if you've meet me at a recent function, do add me here. I'd welcome it. I look forward to corresponding with you more.:-D

Friends of the Future

Then, there's the friends of the future. If we've never physically meet, this is your chance. I'm taking a liberal approach. I don't have qualms against anyone. Why waste time doubting others? We've got better things to do, right?

Just remember the very fundamental element needed in human relations: ..respect...

Why wait longer? The add me button is just nearby.
