    Alecia Batson's Interests
GeneralAlecia's interests range from television to feature film to classical music, and include voice over and print work as well.

For her voice, Alecia was selected as the first and only National Female Voice for dot-com-phenom Collegestudent.com. Every college-aged student in the nation heard about their "local, online campus community" thanks to Alecia. Known for her energized and quirky, college-cool delivery, as well as various languages and accents, Alecia has worked with major corporations like Time Warner Cable, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Reebok, and her voice has been heard in commercials airing on MTV and VH1. Most recently she worked on projects for Adobe Software and spots for Blue Cross Blue Shield are currently airing.

With roots as a shoe model, Alecia ventured into the world of print out of curiosity and has since worked with clients such as Hewlett-Packard, Clarks of England, the Massachusetts State Lottery and White Mountain Shoes.
MusicMusically, Alecia graduated from the playroom to the stage by age five, singing in her first oratorio as Head Angel. Since then, Alecia has sung in many musicals, chamber ensembles, recitals, operas and oratorios. She is a soloist at Old South Church in Boston, one of the most critically influential churches in United States history. Highlight performances include Alecia's solo performance with the Choir of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, in a presentation of Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms.

Alecia also performed the Boston and New England premieres of The Poetry of Donald Rumsfeld as set by composer Bryant Kong.

She studied voice with internationally-acclaimed soprano Darlene Wiley and teaching powerhouse Helen Hodam.
MoviesIn film, Alecia began her career in the award-nominated feature Where the Heart Is, starring Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. Since then, she has portrayed a vindictive friend in Time Heals All Wounds, an insolent corporate operator in the comic Eyestar series, and a story-hungry television news reporter in experimental sci-fi indie feature Circuit.

In 2007 she was cast as the Scuba Bride in the romantic comedy 27 Dresses, starring Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy, Knocked Up) and directed by Anne Fletcher (Hairspray, The 40 Year Old Virgin). Most recently, she worked on The Box, starring James Marsden and Cameron Diaz, and which is slated for release in 2009.
TelevisionIn TV, Alecia starred as the clueless-yet-loveable teacher Jenn Randall in TV pilot The Six Fifty-Seven and she was featured as a Legal Aide in the Warner Bros. TV episodic Waterfront, directed by Richard J. Lewis (CSI, The Chris Isaak Show).

Her commercial credits include: Hood, Novell, Krispy Kreme, Maine Credit Union League, Maine Lottery, Vermont Lottery, The Massachusetts State Lottery, Stop & Shop, and the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism.

BooksAlecia loves to read and is working on two or three books at any one time. She has yet to be featured in any books, however. If you are interested in including her in a future publication, please contact publicrelations@aleciabatson.com.

Thank you, friend! I'm glad we're back in touch... or e-touch, as it were.

(I'd appreciate the birthday gift of letting slide this poor attempt at humor.)

Public Transportation is a trip! I have to say I was thoroughly enlightened by their timely and most articulate representation of English fluency.
"Also the 9am trip was disable. And you was correct
they do have radio on the buses."
I is smart to!

I took Mojo, our standard poodle, for grooming and wouldn't you know the owner breeds standard poodles. She happened to have 3 little furballs left and I just fell in love with a silver faced black ball of fluff. I couldn't help myself I fell in love with her. Her name is Makalea, Hawaiian for twinkle-eyed, or mischevious. I'll post her pic today.
