Alec first learned about electronic music in the mid-90s and came onto the scene , when the German techno scene was rapidly gaining popularity. Alec Raw was quickly influenced on the umpteen big Rave Events he visited and the excitement of the people at these parties. Now fully enmeshed in the electronic music lifestyle and inspired by contemporary DJ heroes, he began to teach himself mixing and dj techniques.
In 1999, he started deejaying and play live on stage in front of growing audiences. Amazingly, his first gig was a performance with Timo Maas. Since then, Alec Raw has performed at numerous gigs and big events, including underground warehouse parties and techno parades. He has played alongside famous artists such as Terence Parker, Timo Maas, DJ Shog, Dabruck & Klein, Cosmic Gate.
During his residency at Germany’s famous Dorian Club in 2004, Alec Raw became more and more passionate about house music and its deep soul. At the same time, he wanted to realize his own musical ideas and conceptions. That year, Alec Raw embarked on his exciting career in music production. After investing in recording and production equipment, he could finally play his original music for the screaming fans at his DJ gigs. The feedback was positive and the rest, as they say, is history.
In 2006 Art of Doing Publishing Inc. Miami signed 7 of his songs.
In 2007, "Raw Sessionz" was a global digital release on the ResearchMusic.com virtual record label. After a successful start in the digital world, ResearchMusic.com released Alec Raw’s new album in 2008.
Von elektronischer Musik hörte Alec Raw in der Mitte der 90er Jahre. Dies war die Zeit als Techno in Deutschland schlagartig immer populärer wurde. Fasziniert von dem Lifestyle und den Spaß, den er auf den großen Rave-Events hatte, begann er sich selbst das Mixen beizubringen. Inspiriert wurde er dabei insbesondere durch die damaligen, legendären DJ-Größen wie Carl Cox und Jeff Mills.
Im Rahmen seines ersten bookings im Jahre 1999 spielte er u.a. neben Timo Maas auf der legendären Earthquake. Weitere Gigs folgten auf diversen Technoparaden, in unterschiedlichen Danceclubs Deutschlands und bei Großveranstaltungen. In den Jahren stand er so an der Seite von Künstlern wie Terence Parker, Timo Maas, Dabruck & Klein, Cosmic Gate, DJ-Shog, Melanie Di Tria, Azzido da Bass ect.
Im Jahre 2004 ging Alec noch einen großen Schritt weiter: Er begann seine musikalischen Vorstellungen selbst zu realisieren und startete das Produzieren. Nach dem er sich ein umfangreiches Equipment zugelegt hatte, produzierte er nun selbst eigene Songs. Die daraus entstandenen Resultat spielte er bei seinen Auftritten, erntete starke Resonanz bei der Party-Croud und der Rest ist wie man so schön sagt Geschichte…
