Aleeoop! is Lee McIver-horn and beats & Alexander Nettelbeck-beats and keys.
Regular featured guest artists include vocalists Melinda Jackson, Patou Powell, Tanzi, guitarist Michael Sheridan, and percussionist Sammila Sithole.
Both adventurous musicians, Lee and Alexander joined forces to begin a studio recording project in 2004. Producing beats and adding instrumental input by some of the luminaries of the local scene, they were soon asked to play live at some of the leading venues around Australia.
Working between live performance and the studio the songs really began to take shape.
Early live sets and co-writing with the electric Melinda Jackson, the far out ragga stylings of Mc Funk n Irie, atmospheric guitar maestro Michael Sheridan, the truly brilliant percussionist, Sammila Sithole and breaks by the very jazzy Tanzi MC.
The energy of these performances began to build momentum pushing Aleeoop! forward onto the festival circuit. More shows followed with the full 7 piece band playing at The Great Escape, the opening party for Cirque Du Soleil, and in dj/live mode at the Holy Grail, Canberra. Back in the studio the guys are adding the finishing touches to their new album due to be released March 2008.
