| General | I love going to the theater. Most recently I saw a production of August Wilson's "Fences" that included the cast of Angela Bassett as Rose and Laurence Fishurne as Troy. And I was really blown away by Orlando Jones in his role as Gabriel. The play was GREAT. And I must mention that is was an interpretation by director Sheldon Epps. Also, I love going to the ballet and watching musicals like Phantom of the Opera. My other interest include sports and art and traveling. | | Music | I truly appreciate all kinds of music, but I think a good evening is chilling to some Miles Davis or listening to the original sound track of "The Wizz" featuring Hinton Battle as the Scarecrow. Also, being from the Islands my heart warms listening to some great Reggae music. Ofcourse, R&B always ranks high. | | Movies | "The Big Blue", by Luc Besson. "Malcom X" by Spike Lee. "Cinema Paradiso" by Guiseppe Torntores. "Moulin Rouge" by Baz Luhrmann and "Sunset Boulevard" by Billy Wilder and anything by Walt Disney. |

About me:
Alessandra Benjamin:
Here’s my story. I am an African American Actress, 5’8”, 125lbs and I live in Los Angeles. I was born in Rome, Italy, and grew up in D.C. My roots extend from Europe to the Caribbean. I have a bachelor’s degree in performing arts and fine arts /graphic design. My hobbies include traveling, yoga, art and martial arts. I am fluent in German, Italian and French, I also speak conversational Spanish. Recently, I shot a television pilot called The Center. I have starred with Ice-T and Fred Williamson in the movies “Lexie” and “On The Edge”. I am attached to a Pierced Angel Production/The Order Production, the title of that feature is to be announced and is scheduled for 2007. I can be seen in the upcoming feature “Diary of a Tired Black Man,” written and directed by Tim Alexander (www.tiredblackman.com).
