..
Drummer with the passion of percussion instruments from every part of the world. He has been played drums since 1995, he studied drums with Rodolfo Tulli, Fulvio Fuina, Ellade Bandini; darbuka with Enzo Laurenti; rithmic sensitivity with Massimo Carrano. He played in a jazz trio and for some years in a tango quartet called "AmARo TAnG0 ensemble", their sound wasn't traditional becouse they used to mix the tango with jazz and world music.
The group held some lessons in secondary school about tango and jazz.
He plays also the didjeridoo since 2000, and he had the possibility to play with the australian didjeridoo player GANGA GIRI during a festival "Teramo città aperta al mondo". He played the didjeridoo in different situations: solo, with percussions, two didjeridoos, with cristal singing bowls or others meditation instruments, as music for the theater, with dancer, with mimes.
As a percussionist, he usually plays during theater performance, with mime and during reading poems. In this occasions he plays different instruments such as udu (handmade by himself), small percussion effects (whistle,rattles,bells...), african mbira, water drums (made of gourd), balafon, didjeridoos (he has one tunable, pvc handmade by himself) and tibetan singing bowls (he has a set of 14 that continuosly grows up), tabla and he also plays daily-use objects and parts of them.
In his "collection" of percussions there are also caxixi, berimbau (handmade by himself), darbuka, tama and talking drum called dondo and some frame drums as tamborim, pandeiro, bodhran, tammorra.
He had the possibility to play the water gourd drums with the kora player from senegal MADYA DIEBATE.
Actually he plays with cristal bowls and tampura player with who he uses the singing bowls, gongs, tabla, shruti box, didjeridoo. The aim is to relax the audience and allow the people to hear acustic sounds that usually they can hear just from a sint. Above all our music has benefit effects on the human health: for the mind and for the body.
It is possible to propose this project during a yoga lessons or meditation or as music for the theater or before as ambient music, it is well as ambient music during exibitions interacting or not with the artists.
He actually works, as percussionist, with the theater company "Il Bagatto", and he's keepin up playing drums, cajon and percussions in "AmArO TAngo EnSemBle".
