Alessia is an italian songwriter, she loves soul, nu soul, jazz and all around black afroamerican music.
She is the leader and the singer of the project N.S.EX. (NU SOUL EXPERIENCE). The group is formed by different musicians coming from different style of music experiences: but they're all walking on the same pad, the pad of GROOVE! A mix of jazz, hip hop, funk and whatever influences them, that's what their music is all about.
She's been recording her new and first solo album "PG MAJOR 7", with 13 original tunes
(written both in english and italian) and a cover: I need love, by the famous rapper
LL Cool J. It’s a production of Alessia Piermarini and BLUESOUND STUDIO(Stefano Malatesta) the album has already received gorgeous reviews on Jazzitalia, Soulchoonz, Dusty Groove America and Cdbaby. The album is available on Itunes, Amazon, Cdaby.com and Dusty Groove America.
Alessia with her N.S.EX. project had the pleasure to open for the concert of the afro-american artist Ursula Rucker in November 2008 at the Rising Love.
She’s been singing in the most important clubs in Italy and in Europe such as La Casa del Jazz, Micca Club, Fonclea, New Orleans Cafè, Cotton Club, Alexanderplatz, Gregory’s Jazz Club and important festivals such as Women in Soul, Ascona Jazz Festival, Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival.
She is also one of the BOOP SISTERS a female jazz vocal trio at their new and second album "Bibidi Bobidi Boop" produced by Alfamusic. She's been working with this vocal trio in important national tv and radio programs, she's been singing in the most important jazz festivals and clubs in Rome, Italy and Europe.
The song “Don’t step on my flower” of PG Major 7 has been selected and will be part of the english compilation “Soul Unsigned Vol. 3” which is going to be released in October on the label “SOUL UNSIGNED” in London.
In July 2009 she's performed with N.S.EX. at the Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival featuring her new album.
