ALEX SAMMARINI is a composer, a writer and an instrumentist. From 1990 to 1998 he has lead the pop band “Brett & the Bitters”, with whom he has performed across Italy.
In 2000, he released his first solo single, “Quello che non sono”. The video for this release has been broadcast on all major music TV channels.
In 2001, “Laura” was released, and has been broadcast by more than 130 radio stations, entering the Top 10 in most cases. In 1995 he released a dance maxi-single for Dig-it, under the name of Dr Straker.
He was the vocalist and the guitar player for Gianni Morandi during his 1996 tour, the tours of 2000/2001 (playing for more than 180 shows), and in his last TV show ”Non facciamoci prendere dal panico”.
In 1997/98 he was guitarist and vocalist for young italian singer Syria.
Alex has been the pianist and lead singer with Pepperland, the most accredited Beatles cover band in Italy, since 1994.
M.R. Piparo asked Alex to play Robin Gibb in the popular musical “Saturday Night Fever” (2002-03-06).He is the leader of one of the best Bee Gees tribute in the world: The Tree Gees.
He played the part of Erik, the phantom in “The Phantom of the Opera” (Angel of music Productions).
During 2007 Alex is vocalist and guitar player with Marco Masini and Umberto Tozzi.
He writes and produces music for commercial spots and he has sung in many movie-soundtracks.

ALEX SAMMARINI è compositore, autore e strumentista. Dal '90 al '98 è il leader della pop-band Brett & the Bitters per i quali scrive più di 70 brani e suona in giro per l’Italia per un totale di circa 250 concerti.
Nel 2000, pubblica il suo primo singolo da solista "Quello che non sono" il cui video viene mandato in rotazione sulle principali emittenti musicali ottenendo riconoscimenti della critica e una nomination come miglior video indipendente.
Nel '95 la Dig-it pubblica un suo maxi-single dance con lo pseudonimo di "Dr. Straker"che riscuote un discreto successo nei circuiti underground.
Nel 2001 esce "Laura" che viene intensamente programmata dalle radio, molte delle quali inseriscono il pezzo nella top 10. Scrive canzoni per alcuni giovani emergenti.
Importante la collaborazione con Gianni Morandi di cui è vocalist e chitarrista nel tour del 1996 (che culmina con un concerto in diretta televisiva visto da 10 milioni di persone) e nel tour seguente del 2000- 2001; nel 2006 torna a lavorare con Gianni nello show televisivo "Non facciamoci prendere dal panico" nella band di Celso Valli.
Nel '97 e nel '98/99 è chitarrista e cantante nei tour di Syria.
Dal '94 al 2000 è pianista e voce solista nei Pepperland, la più accreditata cover- band dei Beatles in Italia con cui suona in alcuni dei più prestigiosi teatri italiani e partecipa a numerosi programmi radio-tv nazionali.
Fonda con amici turnisti I Tree Gees, una delle più importanti tribute band dei Bee Gees nel mondo ( fino ad oggi più di 250 concerti) e, caso piuttosto singolare, un loro brano originale "Love me at christmas" viene inserito nel soundtrack del film Christmas in love (2004). Successivamente scrive e pubblica il nuovo singolo per la band I Walk Out.
E’ cantante e attore nel fortunatissimo musical "La febbre del sabato sera" di M.R.Piparo (2002-03-06). Ha interpretato Erik, il fantasma, nel "Fantasma dell'opera"ispirato al musical di Andrew Lloyd Webber della compagnia Angel of music.
Ha collaborato con Bruno Zambrini, Valeria Rossi, Mario Lavezzi, Percentonetto ecc. e appare come lead vocal in diverse colonne sonore.
Scrive e realizza musiche per spot e pubblicità.
Il 2007 lo vede in tour con Umberto Tozzi e Marco Masini e successivamente nella band di quest'ultimo sempre come cantante e chitarrista.
3.14 é il titolo del suo primo album uscito con lo pseudonimo di Afterbeat.
