   About Alexanders Dark Band
There is no "Alexander" in Alexander's Dark Band. Alexander, of course, is Alexander of Aphrodisias, who first described the dark band of unlit sky that sometimes, though rarely, appears following a storm. Between the band's six members, they have witnessed this phenomenon exactly three times (more than any other group of six in history), and having experienced it firsthand, can therefore legitimately claim it as their moniker. Furthermore, the music they create can be compared to the feeling you get when you first walk outside after a storm - the air is warm and moist, the clouds peel back to reveal a blue sky, nature shakes herself off like a big wet dog, and up in the sky you see the remnants of the dark past, accompanied by the promise of hope. They will do it to your ears. Alexander's Dark Band is from Austin, TX. Personnel includes Annalise Ohse on violin and vocals, Brian Beadle on drums, Callie Sparrow on flute and vocals, Jake Buchert on bass, Jeff Luna on guitar and vocals, and Peanut on viola and vocals. We have some videos up on switch.burn.tv from a show at Emo's. Check them out here. Also, check out some of the videos below from our January show at the Mohawk: Abacus Loophole

hellooo friend...

I actually asked someone "are you Jeff's brother?!" and it was not your brother!

If they were there, I did not find them. If they were not there, then they are bad brothers, but I will forgive them anyway.

Hope you are doing well.

What's new?

best,
eva.

I am kind of in love with Shower Curtain. Keep doing this.

We need to do a show together again. Keep me informed, as I will do the same.

Hope you all are fantastically well.

hey jeff,

We're actually not playing May 2. The Unbearables are. I thought I sent an e-mail about that, but I guess not?

So, Harrison is going to do the poster. We've already discussed ideas and it's going to be amazing. He's a genius, so it's pretty much guaranteed at least that much.

Also, I think we're going to have a cake! Nobody ever has a cake at a release party, and there totally should be one. Plus, it is Marshall's birthday, so it will serve a dual purpose.

Do you have anyone who can serve cake/sell merch that night? I think if we can alternate between both bands, we should be good.

Awesome. This is going to be so much fun.

as always,
eva.
