All my music is very eclectic at the moment, which is the way I'm trying to keep it. I don't want to be stuck to one style, I love country, I love Dance, Jazz, Breakbeat, Classical...anything and everything!! I've tried to "Genreise", but because all the tracks are so different it is hard to put them into Categories. If anyone has any suggestions.. Why don't they have an option for eclecticism?
"Amber is a storming Breaks-Funk epic featuring the angelic vocals of Alexandra Lea and echoes the euphoria of Kirsty Hawkshaw’s work with Opus 3 and the female Vocal / Breaks fusion of Dark Globe and Amanda Ghost.
This track builds on straight-ahead Breakbeat, progressively rising to a massive climax which mixes soaring Acid lead arpeggios with uplifting vocal effects rippling over bouncy driving basslines.
Has appeared in Steve Lamac’s Radio 1 show in a piece featuring the Canterbury Music Scene and a regular favorite on student radio"
Psychedelic Disco Mix coming soon with upcoming release ’This Life’
"for those quieter moments and album opener 'Amber' coming on like a
ghostly re-incarnation of Opus 3's classic 'Fine Day'; bumping grooves one
minute, post-0r9asmic chill the next... miss this one at your peril. M6/M8"
Alexandra lea is a professional vocalist currently working with up and coming producers and musician. her sole ambition was to make it as a solo artist and get herself on an album - she did this and then thought " I've just achieved my LIFELONG dream - what do i do now?" Singing took a very real twist for Alexandra and was laid to rest for a while, and the voice was left to find itself again. It emerged again in the summer of 2007 - with a new jazzy feel, and has now set out to take over the world with her angelic vocals that have been compared to Kirsty Hawkshaw's thriving vocals from the world renowned Opus III
Puppet Master: "I refer to myself as an intelligent life form because I am sensioned and I am able to recognize my own existence, but in my present state I am still incomplete. I lack the most basic processes inherent in all living organisms: reproducing and dieing. "
Major Motoko Kusanagi: "But you can copy yourself. "
Puppet Master: "A copy is just an identical image. There is the possibility that a single virus could destroy an entire set of systems and copies do not give rise to variety and originality. Life perpetuates itself through iversity and this includes the ability to sacrifice itself when necessary. Cells repeat the process of degeneration and regeneration until one day they die, obliterating an entire set of memory and information, only genes remain. Why continually repeat this cycle? Simply to survive by avoiding the weaknesses of an unchanging system. "
Puppet Master: "It can also be argued that DNA is nothing more than a program designed to preserve itself. Life has become more complex in the overwhelming sea of information. And life, when organized into species, relies upon genes to be its memory system. So, man is an individual only because of his intangible memory... and memory cannot be defined, but it defines mankind. The advent of computers, and the subsequent accumulation of incalculable data has given rise to a new system of memory and thought parallel to your own. Humanity has underestimated the consequences of computerization. "
I have 4 GB, and it never uses more than half that. Weirdly it never seems to be using much CPU either. Ah well, I'm kind of possibly on to something, but I might need to wait for the next version of Mixxx. Ah well, c'est la vie.
"When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself." - Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

Enjoy your pagan evening by the fire, K
PS: I originally wanted to post "Wake up blind" by Tito & Tarantula as (one of my top favorite) song(s) but it's not online anywhere, not even the excellent lyrics...
Near Peterborough. I'll have to have a look at that. I'm using Mixxx at the moment which is the freeware equivalent to Torq and I can use Serato or Torq Vinyls with it. All I need it for really is little bits of speech that I want to lay over my tracks live and scratch, but my laptop doesn't really have the CPU to use it effectively, especially when I'm running Ableton in the background. Where abouts are you?
That's a joke about the preamp. If I were you I'd just get a phantom powered USB interface like the Tascam US-122 or something. I'm trying to get this Serato scratch thing to work at the moment so I can add a turntable to my rig, it's a mission...
Hey, first time I've been on myspace in ages and I popped your new tunes cherry! Unless that's just myspace lying to me... Got the flu's awesome anyway, gotta love cop-out endings they always take you by surprise. Check out my new tune if you get a chance, it's just a huge mashup. Still low on the output 'cos I'm working on my live stuff but I'm getting there and there will be more soon. And don't think I've forgotten about the track you said you'd do with me. It's bubbling on the back burner... blud.
