Well that is great! He's a really good guy and I'm glad he's finally happy :) I've known him for about 8 years or so...and I know I wish u guys woulda stoped by! You guys need to plan a trip back to kansas and we could all go out!!

yeah, i know. i think im gonna go to the store & test some new ones. i think i'll at least get a new lens for my d40 until i can decide which brand i want to go with. which lens would you reccoemmend? i'm thinking either a 1.4 or 1. 8/50mm?
what, go canon? idk, im so confused! i feel like it shouldnt be the camera that defines your portraiture, it should be your skill. but i cant seem to get the clean, crisp, colorful look with my nikon (& believe me, ive been trying!) though i admit i havent compared the two cameras that i will be purcahsing next... d700 or the mark II 5d... i cant figur eout what i'm doing wrong. maybe it smy lens? i need a new one, i'm thinking 1.4 (or 1.8)/50mm? i worked with a photographer today & every image she took looked exactly how i wanted them to look right on her lcd screen, no editing required. im torn. i dont want to cheat on my beloved nikon but im quite confused right now!!
